I do not understand some people on here. An embryo is NOT a human being. Goddammit guys, it's just a bunch of cells, it cannot think for itself, nor would it "care" or even capable of caring whether it "lives" or not, therefore it not murder, because a bunch of cells does equal to a human being. Planned Parenthood does not perform Partial Birth Abortions. This procedure is extremely rare, and only performed when the life of the mother is at stake. Weigh the life of a grown woman with family, friends, a career, and maybe even other children who call her mother against the 20 week old "life" of a fetus that scientifically cannot feel pain. I would choose the woman and protect the life of a legally and socially recognized human being, not a fetus.

there's another option that doesn't seem to get much attention. Adoption. my husband and I are the birth parents of a son who we knew would have a much better life with adoptive parents. Easy? Planned Parenthood does not perform Partial Birth Abortions. This procedure is extremely rare, and only performed when the life of the mother is at stake. Weigh the life of a grown woman with family, friends, a career, and maybe even other children who call her mother against the 20 week old "life" of a fetus that scientifically cannot feel pain. I would choose the woman and protect the life of a legally and socially recognized human being, not a fetus.

This video is talking about partial birth abortions, not abortions in general. This isn't a regular abortion by any means, but it is perhaps one of the most gruesome methods. Roe vs Wade actually found partial birth abortions legal, as long as it is in the best health of the mother. Meaning if you can find a doctor that will say it's in the best health of the mother, it's legal. Abortion is murder, however with the current law in the USA it is legal.

Partial Birth abortions are rare as opposed to what this video says. Only 1% of abortions happen after the first trimester during which time the embryo is indistinguishable from the embryos of other animals that give live birth or are little more than a cluster of cells. Most, not all, but most of the 1% of abortions that happen after the 1st trimester are done to save the life of the mother or prevent the infant from having a low quality of life.

there's another option that doesn't seem to get much attention. Adoption. my husband and I are the birth parents of a son who we knew would have a much better life with adoptive parents. Easy? NOT. but there are no easy choices in this scenario and abortion was not an acceptable choice(to us anyway). in a perfect world the right thing to do would also be easy but this world is far from perfect and love won't pay the bills or help raise a child. Scraping the uterine wall is a bad thing period. Your uterine wall naturally sheds during your period, and I'd be afraid the mother would hemorrhage the next time she had her period. Plus, your hormones get all out of whack and increases your chance of breast/uterine cancer. It's not worth it folks.
