The only reason giants attack you is because if you go into one of there camps you are tresspassing into their territory.

I think that is the random peaceful giant. I see him all the time on the 360 version walking around doing nothing. Never seen the mammoth with him, or a peaceful one for that matter.

Giants outside of camps/one giant and one mammoth = friendly. If you turn off combat AI, they'll still be marked as enemies if they're hostile.

This Giant is walking with his mammoth...i found a simmular giant standing at a lake, where there was a felled Mammoth, it was just standing there and it didnt attack me

i think if you find giants walking like in the wild with their mammoths, they would not attack you. But if you go to a giant camp, the giants and mammoths will attack you.

any if you get too close ;) They'll warn you before attacking ;) They swing their club before attacking. But if you attack their mammoths they will hunt you.

They're always friendly... they only attack if you're in their camps and get close to them... same happens if you attack their herd (the mammoths)

@kyuubikid7971 dragons that free roam are mostly based on ur level so if u cant kill a giant easily the dragon cant, i know this because i got high level before i hanged anywhere near giants then i just see giants fail vs dragons, (the higher level you are the more dragons spawn higher that go into free roaming mode, and the color and type of dragon bases the strength) besides first dragon you face... i fought him at 25, wasn't pretty for me... died like 15 times then got em.. on a reroll

only the giants in camps fight you instantly. every other giant will actually protect you unless provoked in some way. (yes this can easily be used to lure a dragon to a wandering giant :3)
