@pianistinblues Sono stato a Brescia, ed è stato desolante constatare come quasi nessuno conosca nemmeno il nome di un così illustre concittadino.

A parte la pressoché irreperibile registrazione del 1971, quelle del 1941 e del 1985 sono entrambe disponibili su YouTube.

@Purtierun purtroppo a Brescia gli hanno intitolato la piazza davanti al conservatorio e poi sono tutti morti di invidia, purtroppo a Brescia vivono cosi, invidia e niente di piu .

Non consiglio a nessuno di fare domanda per studiare in conservatorio perchè è tempo buttato e non impari assolutamente niente, e adesso hai capito chi sono gli invidiosi.

@Purtierun io che sono di brescia, ogni volta che vado al teatro Grande, mi fermo almeno un paio di minuti per contemplare la statua di michelangeli sull'ingresso.

e pensare che in quel teatro ci passava un così immenso musicista ha un che di magico

His playing is magisterial and it has a clarity and delicacy that is uniquely Michelangeli's.

@Purtierun...some detective work...there are at least 5 here...two have timings of over 11 mins...one, just over 9 mins (1941)...yours from 1962 at 10.54...and one, uploaded by PA0915..., unidentified at 10,45, that might be the one from '71...it sounds different from all the others...anyway, the older Benedetti got, the slower he played it...yeah, that figures, sort of...

@fredericfranc The recording published by PA091594862 is the same I propose in video format (1962): to realize it, you can simply compare the "F" played by ABM at 0:41 (my recording) and at 0:32 (PA091594862 recording)! Moreover, listening to them for about two/three times in a row, you can understand how the two video propose the same audio track...

@Purtierun ...I am willing to take your word...anyway, it is amazing that you, living in Italy, cannot track down a relatively recent recording by one of your great and world-famous artists...your country should have better measures in place to protect its musical heritage for the future...

@fredericfranc The "early" Benedetti Michelangeli is certainly the real and funambolic virtuoso of the keyboard; I have never heard '71 recording, but, IMHO, I think '62 version can be considered a superbe balance of spiritual introspection and technique.
