Does anyone know how to get a Mastersystem controller to work on the PC so u can play games using it on a emulator? (im smart, just never done it before, would appreciate if someone could explain how to do it - tnx).
@CescoPisicoli you will need to do a bit of research mate. i've just had a quick look on the web and there are plenty of good sources that say the master sytem joypad has a 9 pin d-sub male connector on it. you will need to find a cable with a female 9 pin d-sub that converts to USB. there appears to be a some of these on ebay, but im not sure if they will work. have a look on the website pinouts.ru and they should be able to help you. hope that helps :-)
wish i still had my SMS and this game. favourite one in the series and i never managed to finish it =[ probably download the rom sometime soon though and see if i can finish it =]
where can i buy the dragon mail to get across the lava? whenever i enter that shop, it says "sold out" and it's impossible to reach the other side of the lava!
You need lucky-stones. A hole lot of lucky-stones to buy all you need. It takes a long long time to collect them(99) but they are saved in the password when you are bored and want a brake.
It never occured to me as a kid that I'd need to buy armour to get across the lava, and as a result, I only beat the game back then with the we5t one cheat.
Years later, I played the game on an emulator, and figured it out for myself.
You know, I've seen the game maps and such on this game from Gamepro and some other mags--but really. . .How would you know how to do all of these secret puzzles and find hidden doors with no guidance or hints? Is there any way?
I think the placement of hidden doors is usually pretty obvious, and if you've played the prequel you'd be prepared to look for them. The puzzles are easy, they could've made them much harder imo (the block creating opens up posibilites for a solomons key like gameplay).
Hmm. Heheh, well, considering the fact I never played the previous game and ALSO I used a password from a gaming magazine, I probably missed all that. . .lol. So you're probably right!
I accidentally found the door that leads to mummy boss, then I started looking around for the other boss doors hidden around the city and stopped searching when i found them all (you need 99 gem stones to activate the secret boss doors which I discovered years later when playing a new game).
The one secret I never found myself was the secret shop that you access from the door underneath the desert door (you have to fly to it).
actually, another secret i didn't find myself was the secret shop where you originally popped out of when the castle was falling down. And the fact that you can enter Meka dragon's door (twice - there's an item to get the 2nd time) after returning.
This is the game of the game! Have never had so much fun with no game as much as with this

I feel sorry for today's obsession with realism in games. This was the Demon Souls of its day x

Thanks for this vid. For ages as a kid I was confused as hell about the lava and all the mouse blocks.
I might have to try and revisit this game, it was definitely a brain puzzler, for me anyway.

Whether the shop wants to sell you certain items is dependent on one of your stats. I think it was CP, Charisma Points.

One of the monsters might've dropped it for you which is why it's sold out. It's pretty rare though.

I love that smoking pig who sells stuff.
You just don't get that sort of thing in today's games.

Password: west one
to get all equip and charaters (but I never used a cheat on this game). I played it so many times, found all secrets by trying and searching
