@SuperPSNHackerHD like, why is there an option to go lower? it defaults to 360p because some internet connections cant transport data fast enough to watch hd w/o it buffering every 2 seconds, and the 240 is there in case ur internet is even to slow for 360p. the lower options will always be there, even if ur video is originally hd.

@theevilgeniuz AFAIK there are 4 types of PCI-E x16(usually used for graphics cards) x8,x4, and x1. The hd dvr PCI-E uses PCI-E x1 (notice the 2 pronged connectors) so as long as you have a PCI-E x1 on your Motherboard than this should work.

This is probably THE BEST solution on the market now I did my 50 hours+ research on video capturing, current status and the future.

Why? Because in 2013 not one bd player may output hd in analogue signals, only in hdmi with hdcp, which the aacs layed down on manufactures and publishers. Just a recent example: The Playstation 3 K-model....

With this pci card, we can update the hdcp keys, (with cracked master key), when they feel the need to screw hdcp device users, which acts as a stripper

What I've seen so far:

1) Interlacing in menu (it's annoying);

2) Gameplay is actually 720p (it doesn't render in 1080p, so you do NOT see ANY difference between 720 or 1080);

3) Glitches during gameplay, like artifacts (due to hardware video decoder).

Still a good product and very cheap. Might get one soon.

Graphics and resolution on PC are way better, there you can get 1080p ;-)

@XBLChubbySkunk i don't think this requires as much as powerful of a computer. It really depends on the editing software requirements. If you have a dual-core running 2Ghz or faster you should be good. I'm getting intensity pro and only reason it requires a strong system is because of Uncompressed. I'm getting an i7 2600k, 570 Nvidia GFX video card, 3 x 500GB hard drives in RAID 0, z68 mobo and yeah, thats overkill for Intensity pro but it'll be good for future upgrades and capture cards.

I use this for the videos on my channel. The only thing is that if you connect it directly from the PS3 and try to play on your computer screen it might have some lag, I use an HDMI splitter to split the signal to both my computer and my TV.

You can also use this if you have a DVR from your TV company with an hdmi output to record your favorite tv shows.

The only problem with anything recorded thru HDMI is that you need an external recording program (such as FRAPS) to bypass the HDCP protection

Hmm, I noticed alooot of artifacts in this capture... It automatically loaded the vid in 360p and i noticed all the artifacts. Particularly when you were running alot. i rebuffered the vid in 460p, 720p, and 1080p. The 1080p was too choppy to watch (probably my computers fault) but all settings had too many artifacts. Do you know why that is? I dont think its because of youtube...

@HardNotTo XBOX shouldn't have HDCP, to get past it on PS3, you can't play from the media center, but rather use fraps to record from a a different source. If you look it up u will be able to find it.
