  • How many guitars does this guy have!!

  • I have a Gibson ES 175, Custom Shop Fender Strat Reissue, an LSL Tele., and a D35 Martin. Those are the only guitars I own. The rest of the guitars in the videos are all borrowed for the reviews. Thanks for your interest.

  • nice sound. Nice vid. Nice teaching. ...thumbs up

  • Great tips, great sound, great guitar, great player! I think that sums it up ;)

Thanks for all these great lessons!

  • What a wonderful dreaming guitar, man...

  • Also, that tone is beautiful.

  • thanx.:) cool lesson...

  • nice lesson man im a paki

  • @sampraz1990

    LOL

  • its tru iam a paki. wat you never thought that pakis could play the guitar using the pentatonic scale? don worry its not against my religion LMAO

  • The pentatonic scale is ancient and probably found in most cultures. In Asia it's all over the place so Pakis, as you say, are not far away. Thanks for your interest. John

  • actulay im not a paki. i was just jokin around. im actually indian/british/portuguese. but no matter what iam i know that one things for sure, I LOVE TO ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE AND PARTY EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sampraz1990

lol I believe you its just that I read it and thought lol how is that relevant.

  • Niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

    :)

  • Really nice lesson. I like your videos so far.

  • i dont like the acoustics of that room.

    the electrics are nice though..

  • what? i like em, feels like we're sitting right with him in the room :) although the volume levels of the guitar and voice being very different gets noticed..

  • OK Let me address this. My favorite recordings of the best music are terrible. The world's greatest recording does not make up for shit-house music. If there is one good point made on any of these videos and someone gets it, job well done. I'm going to bust out one of these days and put the guitar in front of the music. then you can say I suck and I'll understand. But when people look at a coin and don't know how to spend it that's sad. Learn this shit and play music with it, please! OK?

  • Great Lesson, Thank You.

  • WOW, that guitar is thick.

  • Thanks, I can sure use ideas!!!

  • thank you :)

  • Thanks John - a good suggestion on how to explore beyond the given sequence of notes in a scale!

  • does that "different" sound depend on the different notes that you start from the scale? like mixo or dori and etc?

  • Awesome sound! Also very helpful.

  • Thanks for this lesson I have found it very helpful.

  • Again, a very helpful vid.

    Thanks. :)

  • clever idea will use that. thanks john

  • How's the idea going? Help?

  • @johnhguitar I understand that Matinee310 is now working on Symphony #47 and it is still based on the major scale riff!
