Nature is the sum of the existence of an entity; your definition is wrong. Education by any means necessary would be similar to something you would find in a dictatorship.
And by that standard I should then be allowed give you the ultimatum: agree with my philosophies or die. This is my standard for education and if you don't accept it then you are of no use to me.
Laugh while you can. Weather, energy reserves, and hungry bellies don't care about your intellectualizing. They want you to get with the program, and they will kill to prove the point.
So I must be a slave to those who can't get food? Why? Just because someone is worse off than me? That's not a good enough reason. You can go be a slave to those who cannot feed themselves, who cannot think for themselves; I however, will never sacrifice what I have earned to those who have not earned it.
there is no counter-argument to peak oil that has any merit , either in a semantic, theoretical, or practical sense. This is the 'wise finitude of nature' as described by steve morningthunder
I'm not arguing peak oil. I'm arguing against the means at which Cassandra promotes her ideas. The slogan 'education through any means necessary' is horrifically terrifying.
I wouldn't carry the words 'by any means necessary' to extremes that isn't fair to the film-maker. Of all the clips on y-tube, the ones with the most hits are the ones who use Cassandra's type of hook. While the individual may flatter himself by thiniking he is rational,(I certainly do)the truth is we are prisoners of some quite primitive hard-wiring.
Cassandra had the insight to tap into that. The negative ramifications of 'peak' times cannot be overstated. I am glad someone is s ringing the alarm bell, even though I think it's way too late to do much. Also, I am worried about the sleepwalkers' reaction once they 'get it', maybe we will be co-operative, prolly not.

Nature is educating people by any means necessary. We would be wise to follow its example.
