I don't agree with your conclusion that its not worth it. Also, Leapord is no more demanding than Tiger was really, the reason the graphics are slow is because your not running natively.

Also:

- it is updatable

- there is plenty support from fellow users

- and you won't get in trouble, Apple would rather go after the distribution of the releases not individual users.

- it runs incredibly smooth and stable, fully updated, and happy on my laptop.
