Lol? Are you saying that Nirvana's music is elementary compared to Oasis? I think you have some things mixed here. Nirvana has MUCH more lyrical depth than Oasis (most of which were written when Noel/Liam were stoned). And on top of that, its clear you don't realize how much more emotional depth Cobain had compared to Gallegher. Just because someone signs prettier, as Sam Cooke mentions, doesn't mean its more soulful. Cobain had something called angst/pain in his voice along with sincerity.

id personally say that Cobain is a far better lyricist, thats just my opinion. he took the most simple topics (School, being left at grandparents houses) as well as some difficult things, and made them into amazing songs. that being said, id say the noel is a far better musician and a very skilled lyricist but his songs dont share the same emotional depth that Cobains did. though musically, id say noel's are much more mature

I think there r 2 main reasons American Rock music is inferior to British Rock music:

1/ It's very commercialised. The business and showbiz side are held to be more important than the actual music. And this seems to b the case with American life in general. The American way of life is that everything has to be bigger , better , faster etc... Supersize everything.

2/ Country music seems to have influenced american Rock n Roll a lot and in most but not all cases it's been detrimental to US R&R.

Amazingf Performance by noel, it amazing that he can do as a great job with the feel and energy of the song just like Liam.

And about Yanks and Brits. My favorite music is british Oasis by far the best band, my fav band of all time, so underated in USA and misunderstood by alot of people, but people that get it have a connection its almost like a view of life. Anyways Brits have/had great bands some shit bands and same With U.S. they have/hadsome great bands. My love brit music more though
