  • why would you even spend a dollar on a car like that

  • idk why everyone has to question why ppl re badge. who cares its not yer damn car. if u dont like it oh well. do everyone else a favor and cut yer fingers and tongue out so we dont have to hear or see u cry about it.

  • this car is too good for that gay hyundai logo. that hyundai logo has to be the ugliest logo in the world. only egyptians think its classy

  • try heating first next time then use fishing rope

  • I just installed the winged emblem on my 2010 G trunk. Contrary to what this video says, the posts perfectly matched the holes in the trunk lid so I did NOT need to grind them off. Looks GREAT. Much better than the standard flying H.

When I bought it I made the dealer give me $750 off to replace the junk OEM Dunlap tires with Conti Extreme Contact DWS . Now rides almost as well as my bimmer, goes in snow, and will last 50,000 miles.

  • You've just increased your car value by 100%

  • How did you get the new badge?

  • not wire! it will scratch your paint! just use floss (that used for cleaning teeth)

  • does this work with the 2010 model as well?

  • I dont get it, why buy a Hyundai if you dont want the badge?

you will still have "H" on everywhere else.

  • @kalargyi This isn't like buying a BMW. I bought the car, not the badge. (Zing!)

Even Hyundai was conservative with where they used their logo on the Genesis. The only other exterior placement is on the wheel hubs. I love the mystery the wings create. I love even more when I tell people it s Hyundai. "A HYUNDAI? Really?!"

  • @Nullunit2000 keeping the badge will save you from bragging people about "It is a Hyundai"

  • the fishing wire and idk the other thing but it only work with 20 mins of heat (heat gun or hair drier)

  • looks awesome man!!!! nice job

  • OR you can put the Ford logo on to show people that Ford owns Hyundai. Ford logos also work on Mazdas and Kias. those companies are also part of Ford.

  • @jason123456789210 ok you're a dumbass. Ford does NOT own Hyundai. Hyundai own itself and Kia. Both of which are KOREAN NOT AMERICAN!

  • @sexyboi142 ford bought mazda which bought hyundai which bought kia

im in the automotive industry u know

  • @jason123456789210 Hyundai Motor Company is a Seoul, South Korea-based company. It bought Kia in 1998.

The Hyundai family includes Hyundai and Kia.

The Mazda line stands alone, but Ford owns a 30% share of Mazda.

Ford does not OWN Mazda and Mazda does NOT own Hyundai or Kia.

  • @sexyboi142 then y does the kia pride become the ford festiva/aspire?

  • @jason123456789210 Assembly under license by Kia Motors, which at the time was partly owned by Ford. Ford no longer has ownership of kia The "Kia Pride"-badged version of the Festiva was manufactured in South Korea by Kia Motors from 1986 to 2000. The Pride was replaced in 2000 by the Rio.The second model Ford Festiva was jointly developed between Kia and Ford.

What ur suggesting is stupid It's the equavalient to saing Izusu owns honda because in the 90s they had 2 models shared betweent yhem

  • @jason123456789210

and in 1987 Ford brought the Kia Pride to the U.S., renaming it the Ford Festiva.

Ford never had Kia under its brand, Just ONE car. Honda did the same with the first gen oddesey and the Passport. Those vehicles were just rebadged Izusus. Ford did the samme thing with mazda, The Mx-6 and Probe are the same car. Gm has the Aveo which is made b Daewoo.

  • what if we're rebadging a different car and we don't thave the 2 holes to position it?

  • where did you get the wing badge?

  • Where did you order the wings from?

  • Some argue that Hyundai copied the Bentley logo. However, think about all the wing logos in the Auto industry market or wing symbol for the car.

  • @Nullunit2000 I've seen alot of both the coups and Sedans with the Genesis Wings(I live in the Sates). It does look way cooler with the wings. It's like the Equuse. But,why did you do it yourself?I always thought that authorized Gensis/Equuse dealers can convert the badge for you.....

  • I wondered why some genesis's have the wings and some have the H... it looks soo much better. Almost like a benz or maybach.. but garrote wire is a little much, fishing line is great

  • thank you thank you!!!!

  • this is actually done well and a good job, lots of care taken. Just struck me as very odd at first cuz this car is new and pretty with a sick black paint job.

  • and who would have thought a hyundai would ever get someone laid, and at last the hyundai genesis was born!

  • Any chance this would void the warranty?

  • thank for the Video. Can you show us a video of putting the wing emblem in front of the Hyundai Genesis sedan?

  • @conlazycat Has any1 put up a video anywhere (even other than youtube) for the front in North America? I really want to know how

  • @conlazycat there is no cut our for a emblem in the grille for the Genesis sedan...wtf are you talking about. the only hyundai logo on this car is on the trunk lid and possibly the steering wheel unless they were produced with the flying H on them

  • @BaltimaVQ35

so what, you have a giant umbrella you hold over your car when you drive in summer?

    it's a HAIRDRYER not a blow torch.

  • @Nullunit2000 this is one of the funniest comments ive ever seen on all of youtube

  • @BaltimaVQ35 The wire I agree with, In another video they use plastic tie straps instead of wire, and parking in the sun is the exact same effect...

  • @BaltimaVQ35 its the only way to get an emblem off a car you dirty little hamster

  • @mikeymike3232 shut up you jersey shore wanna be. go take some more metal wire and see whatelse you can ''aftermarket'' you ricer fagboys

  • @pARISsKATERS ur gay....

  • @mikeymike3232 If I ever saw you on the highway with ur shitty 3.8 korean made bullshit I would riiiip by you and your glowing LED badge with 0.3 litres less of displacement. Que Nissan 3.5 exhaust note now...

  • @BaltimaVQ35 hahah ur such an idiot, the summer heat is alot worse on your paint than a blowdryer

  • @BaltimaVQ35 You can also use FISHING LINE instead of metal wire to cut through the adhesive.

Fishing Line won't damage your paint.

  • why not just leave the hyundai badge on?

  • I'm didn't want to "de-Hyundai" my car. The Genesis Wings are still an official Hyundai logo. I just feel the Genesis is in a class above Hyundai's previous models and is deserving of a special designation. Not unlike when Toyota first started their Lexus brand.

  • hmm thats an intresting way to put it, i think the genesis is a step up from hyundais previous attempts at car design. but i still think their cars are plain. but for 30k it seems a good deal but i dont consider any hyundia luxury or sport for that matter, but rather a value car with an excellent warranty. dont get me wrong tho the brand will surely improve thru the years and maybe compete with the automotive giants of today i.e. benz, bmw, lexus

  • @Nullunit2000 : Excellent point. In Korea, the wing badge is the official symbol for the Genesis. I personally think it looks better.

  • @BURNTHESINS What do you drive? I have a new Genesis V6 290 hp and will put it up against anything out there as far as quality. The 300c Chrysler is in the same class but costs a lot more. It is far above the Toyota and Hondas

  • de-badge a hyundai what an insult!

  • LMAO!

  • Just got my badges. Isn't there 2 screws holding the badge? Gonna attempt to put mine on within the next hour.

  • No screws, just adhesive. The posts are there just for positioning.

Make sure to run a hair dryer over your "H" for a while to soften the glue. Makes the job much easier. Good luck!

  • Nope. No scratches. But scratching could be an issue. Make sure to warm up the glue with a hair dryer and use a thin, soft surfaced cutting material.

  • plan on doing it to mine...just one question tho, did it scratch the car after all?

  • alrighty. thanks! Looks great!'

  • Ive never seen anyone remove a badge like that in my life. I normally just use a heat gun. Then soapy water and a clay bar to remove the excess adhesive and dirt. But good job, looks nice.

  • Nice! I plan to do this on the genesis coupe

  • Purchased on Ebay. Just search "Hyundai Genesis".

  • thx

  • i herd you can that you can get them at korean auto imports is this true

  • cool. how did you ordered that badge? through internet, friends or dealer?
