I'm just an idiot who half the time doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, but I'm a huge Tom Lehrer fan anyhow, I have all his stuff, and of course no one I know has ever heard of him. I wish I could meet Tom and get an album autographed. He's probably above that sort of thing.
I miss the old blackboards which we would work our way around the room from one wall to the next, eventually erase cover up the one we started on, and some poor schmuck was always still stuck working on the first blackboard out of the 12 in the room. Now they throw a TI calculator at you and use a virtual blackboard or computer projection screen. Usually the material is pre-programed by some halfwit hack. Add the professor and we are all doomed. I love continuing education, I think...
This reminds me so much of Dr. Moyer, or was it Moyal. Whatever. It was chemistry 3rd years advanced and she has the worst time keeping track of reactions and how they were notated to the point tin became lead. When elements are changing from one to another in any reaction that is either nuclear fission or fusion, and I want to be about 40 miles away from anything even remotely close. No wonder I dropped out and became an electrician. I still had years of $100K + earning, so there!
Thanks for the information, AYchip! I haven't done any research, but I think you are right. In the video he does mention that the song was for a show called "The Physical Revue."
Actually it's called "The Professor's Song" and it's a version of something he did for a stage show called "The Physical Revue" a long time back. Unless, of course, my sources of information are unreliable - which is entirely possible.
this so sounds like sheldon!!!!!!!!!
