Hai Wantanmien, like all your other videos this recipe was also very clear and easy to follow. I've made this sweet and sour pork today. My famliy loved it!!! It was just like in the restaurants in Holland. I looked on youtube for other sweet/sour pork recipes, but you are far most the best. Thank you, danke schön Wantanmien.
thank you very much for your video, i am missing sweet and sour pork from my parents home.....im looking for more authentic chinese recipe...thanks again
I substituted the Rum with chinese rice wine (shaoxing hua tiao chiew) and used pork loin instead. It turned out pretty good. My exgirlfriend's father from shanghai used to not use ketchup. He was using chinkiang vinegar and sugar instead and the sweet sour sauce was more brown. Keep posting some more homestyle chinese recipes.
I have always been intimidated to make these on my own. We always bought it frozen, and if you ever had it like that, you know it's terrible not to mention very expensive.
That's why I decided to learn to make it myself. I'm so glad I found your videos. You make it look so easy.
I'm making these tonight...hopefully it goes well.
It turned out great, and was so much easier than I thought it would be. I love that I can do my own sauce now too. I used to buy that all the time and they charge so much when you can make it for next to nothing. :o)
Your cooking videos are quite inspiring. I only speak some basic mandarin chinese. Good to see some different recipes than just all the "american chinese" food.
My former father in law was from Shanghai. He always used to double deep fry them, first at medium heat until cooked through. then take them out, increase heat to high and fry them quickly again for more crispiness.
I tried your recipe with the Baked Pork chop with rice last night and it was awesome, I can't wait to try this one tomorrow with the remaining pork tenderloin. Thank you so much for all your hard work!!! This is awesome. My whole family thank you!!
This looks awesome, and frying twice is something I never thought of (and will try sometime). Sweet and sour pork is one of my favourite foods.

This clip is awesome. I don't understand cantonese, so the subtitles is very useful. Thanks a bunch!

Hi, frying it twice makes the breading more crispy. It definetly tastes better like this.
