  • PLEASE TELL ME HOE TO CHANGE CHARCTERS FOR EACH LEVEL?

  • did anyone notice at 4:37 it said there were 99 bananas left? :P

  • When you say "use a continue" do you mean if you die once or if you use up all your lives and you either say yes or no to keep going?

  • @sonicandsally11 I can't remember, but past me says this: "Remember: It is not necessary to go through without losing a life as I did, just don't continue."

  • this game looks so stupid! so do the characters! super monkey ball 2 is the crap! the characters in that one look normal too...

  • On the secret footage the same thing happened when I was doing the Detritus Desert Bonus! xD

  • Does it count as 'using a continue' if you say no when it asks if you want to continue and then play again from where you left off?

  • there is something like that in the DS version . w.5.8

  • i really want to get to world 9, but i suck at bosses -_- why the hell would you through them into a super monkey ball game!

  • thanks alot :)

    your very good !

  • How do you get Baby Robo?

  • @MrGarrett2169 play all the mini-games at least once then at the character select screen, press 1 while pointing at Baby

  • @MrGarrett2169 you play every party game? I think

  • Lol for 33:33

  • SMB used to be a good game. Banana Blitz is still fun to play although it totally ruined the series cause of its futuristic techy design. This is MY opinion, you don't HAVE to agree with me.

  • How do you unlock "Robo" Baby?

  • @RavenclawEspioXV 1: It's Baby Robo

2: To unlock him, you must play all of the mini-games at least once then at the character select screen, press 1 while on Baby

  • @D3M0NCHR15 Ah, okay. Thank you.

  • its for wii :D?

  • @Dragonicafan google is your friend. :D

  • do you hve step and roll yet?

  • wow 33: 33

  • JC2 has considered each neat portion of a video game, and bombarded it directly into the best game ever! If you really want to enjoy it for free of cost rather then paying money for it, simply just visit to JC2DownloadXcom (replace X with . ) .

  • Would it be possible to make a Let's Play of this?

  • Sure, but it looks like you've got a channel all set up for this kinda thing! Ever consider having a go on this one?

  • @JacksLPs ur channels off lol

  • Awesome stages!

and the song is badass :D

  • I thought that this was for Gamecube, but this is for the Wii instead!

  • OOH YEA i beat it without using a continue now i take back what i said before saying "world 9 is H A R D" now i must say world 10 is H A R D.... anyways have you already picked up a copy of super monkey ball step and roll? i did AND ITS AWESOME!!!

  • Nope, I'll definitely consider it though! (And look for a good deal.)

  • @NintendoZest It is AWESOME!!! I've completed World 6!

  • @NintendoZest P.S. I have Chiquita Bananas!

  • i FINALLY UNLOCKED THIS WORLD! i have been reviewing this video many times. world 9 is H A R D i really hope you do a video of ultra heaven

  • Oh, yeah, I should do that! (I should probably beat it first though, huh?)

  • dude you are AWESOME nice job telling about all stats and you are VERY good at annotating i subbed :D

  • Thanks, this video was one I had some fun with! It's still my favorite usage of annotations I've done - normally I find them a bother to execute, and sometimes to view. Good to hear it worked out on this one!

  • Ur good at it! i would never make it to world 9 and 10, kuz i have alot of continues, but wats with ur ancent? may, suppose, i beleive, and all that!

  • how do u get baby robo

  • I believe I put it in the annotations... yeah, here it is:

"To unlock Baby Robo, play through all the minigames at least once, and then press "1" on the character select screen."

  • how do you get to nine?

  • I believe you have to earn a crown for each of the first eight worlds. You do this by winning them through without using a continue.

  • I think there's a world 11 but I'm not sure

  • No, there's just eight worlds, two secret worlds.

  • i have ultra heaven world but there is s impossible stage

  • you helped alot thanks

  • Glad to hear it!

  • My faveourite character is baby robo

  • on stage 3 i can't get rid of the blue thin so i jump on the side of the cylinder and jum on the others till i get goal i nearly die doing this!!!!!

  • I'm getting really tired of 9-2, 9-3, 9-5, and 9-9.

Yes, surprisingly I have done 9-6 more easily then these 4. On the one where you jump constantly, I have a problem on 9-3 because of the blue guy (mainly because I cannot figure the correct time) I can jump constantly though, and can actually perform a trick already on my first day on this world where you skip platforms on 9-3.

  • Unfortunately, I didn't capture a good attempt at knocking the blob off, however, it's as the annotation says, really. When it's not spread out, it'll fly farther and you'll bounce off lighter. So, I guess timing your jump as it's retracting its tentacles is best.

  • It is either me, or the wiimote, but the A button sometimes will not respond for me when I'm jumping on any of the levels. It will be me jumping constantly and bam, the a button quits responding.

Even if I do it when the blue blob is on the other side I fly the other way and the blob comes back and knocks me off.

I actually think I got really lucky on the 8th boss fight yesterday because I had problems with it. I had 4 lives left on that boss and did it without using one which confused me.

  • Yikes, it's been about a year since this video was uploaded! That's about how long it's been since I've played it. The jump command can be a little tricky at times, so hopefully it's just a timing issue. You can test it out on other games to see if the "A" button acts up, I'm sure.

Yeah, the blobs will hit you back pretty far if you hit them when spread out - you just have to get a hang of the timing. Took me a little while to get it, too.

Good luck on your gaming ventures!

  • World 9 was done in three days, now it will be at least a thousand years before I do 10-5 and 10-9. I thought the same for 10-7, but I then did it the shortcut way after saying out loud "Its impossible".

  • Your wiimote may need some new baterries

  • Nah, the wiimote is full of charge.

  • you are awesome white khakis You beat the record! nice one

  • Record? Oh right! Yeah, I guess I did. Thanks.

  • i know this is wrong but this its super monkey BALLS banana blitz not super monkey BALL banana blitz i know this is sick :D

  • Awesome guide dude! I'm still trying to ace level 6, 7 and 8! This will come in handy later. Those stats on the characters were very useful too! Favourited and rated 5* :)

  • Thanks. Levels six and eight are VERY unforgiving on certain character choices. You need someone light for the zip arrow at the end of 6, and you need somebody with some weight to keep down on 8.

    Hope you ace them!

  • I still need to pass Cobalt Caverns in one life... I hate the level when you have 30 seconds to do that huge, windy course. I am always so close. How long did it take you to ace Levels 5, 6, 7 and 8?

  • Learning how to play the levels and then executing this run-through took me an evening. It's the only world I've tried acing so far. Ultra Heaven looks to be a hard one...

  • Hehe. I've never pass level 8 without a continue. Maybe the others though...

  • Just let the inertia of GonGon carry you through the first curvet and jump on that orange bridge. It's a pretty straightforward level, practice it up a bit and you'll have it down in no time!

  • 10:36

my brother did that before on 3-8.

  • Fantastic guide, if I weren't lazy enough to break out this game I'd be all over unlocking Ultra Heaven.

  • I XD so hard when it said "Time Over" and then "Goal." I didn't know you could do that! It's just strange. But great job! I'm still finding trouble with level 2, but I'm still pretty new to it, so I'll get some help from Youtube and figure it out. :) Yeah, I stink. Some have it, some don't.

  • All I did was practice, although, it was only one short evening... In any case, yeah, I didn't know you can finish after a TIME OVER either!

  • I just use baby for the first stage just touch the first boost GOAL!. :)

  • I wanted to use a different monkey every level, Baby had more use elsewhere (he and Doc are my favorite to play as!)

  • How do you do it? Do you perhaps drink volvic revive? No, sireously, I was still trying to beat this world, and you are totally right about the "it seems impossible at first, but then you master it" thing!

  • Yup. All practice, basically. Figure out the hard ones first, and the others follow. Thanks for watching!

  • Is that an energy drink? I don't like those much. Caffeine doesn't do me much good anyway.

  • I should take some lessons from Yan-Yan.

  • I love your use of annotations - they make for a terrific instructional video. Thanks for showing us world 9 and nice job on the no-death run.

  • Thanks! I've been trying to find a good use for annotations and I thought this worked well enough.

  • the older monkey balls are much harder but this i could do it thr older one took 4 people multiple tries to do!

  • oops i meen world 8 it's to hard can you halp me with it?

  • I'd have to go and boot up the game since it's been awhile last I played. It would probably be easier to check out other resources, but you may ask me if you like.

  • np dont have to do it btw you r realy good!!!

  • im suck on level 8 can you halp me with that??? its sooo hard!!!!!

  • Will you be uplaoding 10?

  • Maybe. I'd have to go back and scope it out, though - it's been a while.

  • OMG Ive been stuck on this. I was mastering all the levels then pop this happens. Thanks man this was so helpful!

  • Good! That's what I was aiming for with the video and annotations. Keep in mind, though, that there are quite a few ways to beat most of the levels. For example, my usage of the good doctor in level 7 is rather unorthodox... He can't jump for beans (and most people jump clear into the goal, skipping the second spinning thingy).

  • thx that helped alot.

  • Hey, good to know.

  • You should see MilesSMB's video of Ultra Heaven no lives lost. Amazing O_o

  • Sounds nuts. I'll have to check it out sometime!

  • He also beat all 70 Expert/ExpertEX/Master stages in SMB1 without dying, and did it REALLY fast!

  • btw scratch799's right: SMB1 Expert Mode it's beating stages 1-50 without using a continue gets you to Expert Extra, and then keeping your continue there as well gets you to Master

  • I really don't see where you're coming from when you say this monkey ball isn't as bad as the ones out there. Haven't you played 10-5?

  • Sure.

Some individual levels are pretty hard, but the same can be said about the earlier games. However, the way you can pick and choose levels and only have to do a few at a time make this, at least in my opinion, the easier game.

  • I do understand that (and thank GOD for that option) but I still think that simply because of 10-5 even the whole pick and choose option doesn't really help. I've been trying to beat that level for a couple days now, and mind you I can beat every other stage pretty consistently by now, and I always catch on to the SMB games fairly quick. That stage just seems...unfair. I don't think the makers of the game tested it (or the SMBDX Master stages for that matter) before they put it in!

  • (I've only done one quick run through of Ultra Heaven, so I'll take your word for it.)

  • I think 10-5 and 10-9 are the hardest... of course I think 9-9 is really tough too, and I'm amazed you beat it on your first try after going through all the other world 9 stages...

  • You know what they say about practice!

  • And no amount of that in the world could make annyone perfect at 10-5!

  • Thanks for this video, I'm gonna try this out! =) I'll let you know if I succeed. =P

Whoah I didn't know the ending was possible! It isn't in the older games where the goal is a ribbon. :P

And I also didn't know you could switch monkeys between levels! O_O That helps a lot!

  • Good Luck!

  • Wow, thanks dude I did it! =D

Level 6 is always the hardest though. I did 1-5, skipped 6, did 7-9, then went back to 6. The first time I ran out of lives and got so pissed. But after I started over I made it. =D

On Level 9 my strategy is to jump off the right side and land in the goal. :P I've practiced it enough that I land in the goal almost every time. =D

  • 6? Probably that zip arrow at the end, huh? Once you get the hang of it, it's no big deal. There are other stages in this set that you can skip straight to the end, as well. Such as the one with the spinning cylinders you run inside of. I just like to try to beat the level by running it through, at first.

    (Congrats)

  • Yeah I've done that in my video "Super Monkey Ball Stunts (Banana Blitz)" You can check that out on my channel if you want. =) I have stunts from Worlds 2-9 (1 was too boring and 10 wasn't unlocked yet)

And yeah the end is what gets me on Level 6. I'll make a video of my World 10 stunts when I'm ready. =) I'm gonna probably get Monkey Ball on iPod Touch for Christmas. =)

  • It wasn't possible because the old games instantly stopped you when you got a time over. :P

  • I knew about the time over thing -- my friend figured that out last night while we were playing drunk!

  • Lol

  • I love GonGons sound when he jumps

  • Sounds a little too much like a pseudo-Scooby-Doo for me.

  • hahahahahah lol

  • "Information about older monkey balls"

    rofl XD

  • Nice use of annotations. Nice video!

  • Thanks! I wanted to find a good use for them somewhere.

  • i love love love monkey ball ! ive been playing for years now, from the original monkey ball to this one ! :D

    i have every single game . ♥

  • Even for iPhone?

  • ahah actually i didnt even kno there was one for the i phone . so i guess i dont have all of em xP

  • dammit!

youre making me wanna buy this game!

    marketer! xD

  • holy crap you're good at this game.

  • That last part isn't true. Super Monkey Ball 1 required you to go without losing a life only for the first two difficulties. In Expert mode, you have to not lose a continue. For all modes of Super Monkey Ball 2, you are required not to use a continue.

So you never have to go past more than 30 levels without losing a life, and only in the first game.

  • Hmm... okay. I was just going by memory, and it's been a long time. I added your comment to the video description.

  • Thank you. Sorry I spoke so coldly about it. I tend to do that... XD

  • No harm done.

  • thnx u really hepled me out!!

  • Glad to hear it!

  • I have trouble with completing the early stages without losing a continue. Does it matter if I lost a boss battle? Does that effect it?

  • Keep in mind that each World is separate from the other. ...and yes, I'm guessing that losing a boss battle would not be a good thing.

My memory is foggy, so I can't help you much beyond that.

I can can only suggest that you practice each level, find a method/monkey that works for you on each one, and then go for it!

  • doctor is Really handy for sinking swamps but so is baby

  • I like playing as Doctor best (good handling), but Baby seems to be the easiest to complete stages with for me.

  • level 4 is ill

  • whats up with the monkeyes in the bubbles

  • Sega thought it would be more fun than rolling around oranges into a juicer?

  • World Nine level 4 is the exact same thing as a level in Marble Blast Gold

    BTW DUDE, U FUCKIN RULE!

  • i love this places music!

  • I agree. The flute really rounds it out and gives it its own feel!

  • yeah!

  • Doctor is the best braker you know!

  • Yup.

  • Whoa! I Lol'd at the Replay at the end where the time ran out, but Baby still went through the goal! A big and giant sweet collection of lol's!

  • Surprised me, that's for sure!

  • thank u it helped me to crown this world after a month of trying thx

  • Awesome.

  • i know its sweet

  • gongon sounds retarded when he jumps...

  • I don't know who started it and why, but it seems like some Japanese people think biggish monkeys/apes should sound like Scooby Doo (DK from the more recent Mario Kart games, for example).

  • lol yeah.

  • true

  • Love the duh-duh-duh-duh flutish part of the music, and Baby Robo sounds funny.

  • I love the music in Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, as well. One of my favorite composers, Hideki Naganuma, had a hand in it -- you can hear samples from his music used throughout! (He did the music for Sonic Rush, Jet Set Radio, and a few other games)

  • Good work! Monkey Ball has always been a really fun game. How's this particular installment in terms of multiplayer?

  • So-so. A lot of games with wonky controls, and only a few good ones.

  • O_O i'm watching this over and over again. What is wrong with me? Is this really can be AS awesome?

  • Monkey Ball IS awesome.

  • Too cool. I've really been meaning to get this game. 9-2 had me on edge. It's interesting that you cut that level so close, yet all of the others were finished with some seconds to spare with the exception of the Bonus.

9-7 certainly made my head spin. Those swaying "C"s remind me of some crazy ride at the amusement park.

    Excellent run!

  • I found that I won 9-2 most consistently if I took it easy. (Did you see the "Time Out" win after I put in my High Score?).

When I first did these stages I found them to be near-impossible. Doing something like this would never occurred to me. However, with trial and error, experimentation, and level analysis I found that I could beat a level if I stuck to the plan and was careful.

With so many monkeys to choose from, it's important to realise their strengths and weaknesses!

  • 9-7 was a very tricky one! It took me a bit to figure out I could reliably jump the gaps. Overhazard has found a far more, eh, "direct" route if you want to check it out.

  • That was cool you must have been pretty patient with this game as you know it can get cheap sometimes.

  • Sometimes.

Banana Blitz doesn't seem to be as much a pain as the earlier ones, but the jumping can be tricky at times. If anything goofy happens, I just try to shrug it off.

(I actually had a hard time beating Sinking Swamp the first time. After that, I went back and "learned" the levels so that I had a good chance of completion without losing a life. Took me a night to do all of the above.)

  • Great that you done this. I love this game so i will favorize every of your vids abiut it ^^

  • Okay! I might do some for the earlier levels, it just depends on how I feel. If I am any good at Ultra Heaven, I'll probably put those up.

  • That was some impressive work, Mr. Khakis. If you ever make another FAQ vid like this one, I'll be sure to watch. There's just something I've yet to figure out though. Why EEL?

  • I think that the Annotations are an excellent tool to help outline information, ESPECIALLY for these kind of "FAQ" videos. Too bad it wasn't around back when I did Mario Galaxy.

Why EEL? That's what I've always put in on High Score lists in the arcade and so on. More interesting than some other choices!
