  • hi, are those 10 or 20mm split looms?

  • @praveencaldera Those were 10mm's. The 20s are much too big...would create problems closing that side panel.

  • are they 1.25 or 2.5 gig 570's and will 2.5 overheat or run hoter?

  • @INoVaXD These are the 1.28 GB Superclocked. A 2.5 card wil use just a watt or two more. Not much difference at all as far as heat or power usage.

  • Where did you buy your hardware from? I have never seen those Galaxy vid cards also I have never seen those Matrix Orbital displays from your other vids

  • @MMAliker456 I bought the Galaxies from a local Microcenter store. The Matrix Orbital was bought online direct from the company. To be honest, the Matrix is more bling than functional. All the data you see can easily be placed on the desktop. Also, the supporting software is just a little too unstable for my liking.

  • it says 1080 but it still hurts my eyes

  • @Phenoman1992 Yup, the humor is pretty close. I guestimate I spent around 2800 U.S on this rig. My wallet has filed charges against me for gross negligence...

  • @Phenoman1992

    I'm guessing ~2700 pounds

  • Jesus christ and i thought i was spending a lot on my pc...

  • Oh, 10 tb is much porn!

  • @ExonizeMinecraft Nice. Very constructive.

  • @ExonizeMinecraft wtf ppl on bout porn for thas why u geh gf's for he the fuk needs porn

  • Liked the video but why would you need 12 tb

  • @Pvtmatchsticks It was in anticipation of converting/storing about 3 metric tons of home family VHS's onto DVDs...also a rather large collection of classic movies from the 50s and 60s. I have since whittled that down to 4TB and the primary SSD. See my site for the latest build.

  • this makes my haf x build look like a joke

  • Ten terabytes of space WTF do you need it for??

  • @murdergames Why do computer engineers keep adding more and more storage space to computers? Why do they keep making them faster when they are already super fast? Why do people overclock their machines when they are already fast and efficient? And where does it say that it is "wrong' to have that much space?

  • @Dechomai He just asked why you have 10 TB of space. That's enough to hold 2000 1080p movies, which is more than most people have. He probably asked because he figured you must have a reason. I can think of three reasons: You are storing some type of data that takes up a HUGE amount of space, you are using some RAID configuration, or you just want to have an overkill PC.

Nice video and awesome build, by the way! Probably cost you a nice $3000, didn't it? I wish I had that much money to spend.

  • @Zuggmate It's a combo of the above. I do a lot of video editing for myself and friends/associates. I also have a very large collection of classic movies (mostly from the 40's, 50's and early 60's) that I back up on those drives. And....I like the overkill too. Makes me feel.....powerful. lol

  • @Dechomai Nothing is 'wrong' with making computers better, but why would you pay money for extra space you dont need? If you do use it, than just tell us what you want to do with it, im just interessted.

  • @DreceonHD Video editing.....lots and lots of home vids of the kids, family reunions, etc. that I'm converting from VHS to DVD. Also trying my hand at graphics. I also have a very large collection of classic movies from the 50's and 60s. Those hd's got filled up are getting filled up pretty fast. I have since removed most of them and put them into another build. Reserved this one for gaming.

  • @Dechomai Oh thats nice :) Im maybe going to buy a haf x too, with an gtx 570 for graphics.

  • @Dechomai cause were awesome

  • Your system is UTTERLY MAGNIFICENT! I'm still in the planning stages of my own Lian-Li PC-P80NB case build. My favorite part is where you testify that you'll never go back to using a standard mouse; I too am preferential to wireless trackballs (Logitech M570). Also, you've made me a believer in LED case lighting strips. Thanks Dechomai for a truly awesome vid.

  • this build is SICKKK..but u should of went custom cooling :( id recommend the XSPC rasa Rx360

  • @mikey3335 Thanks! You know, I just might give that cooler a whirl. If I do I'll post a vid of the install and comparison temps wit the Corsair H100 (I replaced the H70 with the H100...see my channel for the vid.

  • How hot does that motherboard get?

  • @54carlje Haven't checked lately, but it's still working fine. I've got 4 intake fans and 5 exhaust (if you include the push fans I have on the H100 cooler). See the Final Build on my site (click on my name link to get there).

  • What fans did you have running up top? im getting this case very soon and wanted to get the same fans

  • @philongdang For this build I had two red 200mm Megaflow fans (made by Coolermaster..see their site). I later exchanged them for two blue ones and then on my final build I used a Corsair H100 cooler and exhanged the fans for two Scythe 120mm fans (no lights). You can order the 200mm fans from Coolermaster or SVC.com. Please click on my name in the vid caption to go to my site and see the changes made.

  • Which RAM cooler do you have? Corsair, but which model? Looks nice.

  • @Askepticos That's the Corsair Airflow Pro memory system. It is a LED indicator that fits over the memory fans that shows activity and temp. It only works with Corsair Dominator memory that has the DHX Pro technology ( doesn't work with regular Dominator memory sticks). You can find it at Corsair's site under Memory Accessories.

  • Did you update the firmware on your SSD and if so, was it hard?

  • @MMAliker456 Haven't done any firmware updating. The way I figure, why mess with a good thing? LOL. My rule of thumb about that stuff and especially BIOS updates: If the update does not make any significant or wanted changes, don't mess with it. Not all so-called "updates" are necessary.

  • why you need so many storeg you stupid 1.5 its enough

  • @s1a1n1d1i First off, I have removed that drive cage (see my site for vids). Secondly, where does it say that it is "stupid" to have lots of drive storage and that 1.5 (what?) is "enough'? Chapter and verse please. I happen to do a lot of vid editing and that kind of space comes in pretty handy. I already had filled up two of those drives. Perhaps it was stupid for you, but not for my purposes.

  • @Dechomai Link to your site? (can't find it in your profile, though I could well have just overlooked it)

  • @PatchyPublishing Just click on the name link under the vid where it says "Uploaded by Dechomai"....that'll take you to the site.

  • This is literally for wow? My gosh, learn graphics designing and 3d modeling and get rich m8.

  • Did you have to buy different screws for the top fans because the ones that come with the red LED fans wont fit in the holes when I tried.

  • @NAOCIA007 What I did was screw the stock screws into the fans before I installed them; a "pre-drilling" so to speak. Be careful though; the plastic could crack if you get in too much of a hurry. Put the stock screws in, then twist them back out. Repeat that a few times, then remove them and install the fans. Should be a lot easier. It seems that whoever made those fans for Coolermaster ended up making the holes just slightly too small.

  • @Dechomai Sounds good thanks.

  • jesus!!!!...Dude...this is nuts.. Seems like a lot of overkill for world of warcraft...lol...just kidding... nice build... I'm looking into building my first computer... What do you think of the barebones kits? I've been checking out the ones on tiger direct.... Still up in the air...

  • @pharaoh1976 It may seem like overkill for WoW...because it IS overkill for WoW...lol. As for barebones kits, you have to be careful. A lot of times they give you a bare minimum, such as the power system unit (psu) Sometimes the motherboard and other parts can be limited/non-upgradable. I've seen some barebones kits that look like they were made in some back-alley noodle shop. I prefer to buy the parts individually so I know exactly what I'm getting. When you get it built, post some vids!

  • Some1 downloads alot of porn.

  • @BASSxACE Well now....since we are making blatant assumptions here...I will blatantly assume that you are an blooming idiot.

  • amm about how much did u pay for the bro ?

  • @Danrado1 I really didn't keep financial inventory (though I should've), but if I were to guesstimate I would say between 1900 and 2000.

  • @Dechomai I'd estimate it'd be closer to 3000.

  • i like your cable managment

  • Does this case have a lock to lock the side panel

  • @MrForestpotato No, it doesn't. Uses thumbscrews only to secure it.

  • @Dechomai Thanks

  • Wouldnt you rather put your drives in a dock to prevent data loss in this big of a build?

  • @GhetoSpartan117 No. What does the size of the build have to do with data loss anyway? I actually have THREE docks that I use for any vital backups that I need and a pile of additional hard drives. USB docks are too slow for regular use IMHO. As far as data loss from power surges, the system is plugged into a pretty big and heavy UPS unit, which in turn is protected by an installed anti-surge unit that serves the whole house.

  • @Dechomai Size of the build as in amounts of information it seems youre putting on there ( from the amount of hard drives you showed )

  • very nice build cant tell if i like red leds in my case.....

  • lol when your PC beeped, i looked at mine and wondered wtf just turned on XD

  • we have the same screen!

  • wow, very pretty mod.Would you tell me what' s the thing that on the memory fan? It looks really cool and I want to get one too~~~

  • @leo88729 That's the Corsair Air Flo Pro. pretty nifty device. But it only works on Corsair Dominator memory sticks that support DHX pro technology. The sticks have a tiny plug on them that the Air Flo Pro connects to. Go to Corsair's site and search fro "Air Flo Pro" for the info.

  • @Dechomai Think the PSU would work with the upcoming bulldozer series?

  • @SkildEnough Of course yes, the consumption is about 125W like the actual Penom II 1100T

  • @johnwest19991 Yup. Camera was a Flip.

  • @Dechomai SOrry, I skipped part of the video, so did you replace the default case fans with Red LED to get the color, or was that just the neon?

  • @SkildEnough I used red LED fans to replace all the stock non-LED fans (front fan was already red) and added an additional red LED fans on top. Since this vid though, I changed all of them out to blue and made some significant changes to the interior and hardware. Check it out on my channel when you get the chance.

  • Hey I would also like to buy some wire loom, I can measure the cables when I build my PC and then order them but I want to get them with my build on day 1 so can you tell me the measurements of your black wire looms so I can make sure? 1/2"s or 1/4"s?

  • @cop179 I used 1/4" loom. One-half inch loom is too big to manipulate through the case IMHO.

  • @Dechomai Alright thanks a bunch. I didn't even know about wire looming for the PC until I saw this video.

I'm going to build my own rig but I'm taking my time to learn more about customizing and item qualities before I even order my parts,so this video is a great help to me. Thanks again.

  • @cop179 OK...no problem. :)

  • Which way do you have your fans doing the the push/pull on the water cooler? Blowing into the PC or out for exhaust?

  • @N1ghts1te I always have push/pull configs exhausting OUT of the case. You might get a 2 to 3 degree difference the other way around, but I already have two graphics cards producing a bit of heat inside the case...don't need to add any more to that.

  • @Dechomai Okay cool. thats the way mine is. I was just curious about what others did as I could see someone having the push/pull going into the case for cool air being blown onto the radiator for the heatsink. Btw awesome build and thanks for the fast reply.

  • While watching your video, almost sat through it with the thoughts in my "this is alright"...but then I saw IE...

  • @Kawayol OK...I'm just going to leave your comment in here and let all the readers play the game and try guessing what in the world you are trying to say.

  • @Dechomai

Was watching yourt PC build, thought "Nice".

Then saw that you are using IE...my face became "Forman.jpeg".

  • @Kawayol LOL...ok. I switch back and forth with Firefox.

  • @Dechomai

    That's much better.

  • how does the h70 perform with cooling. i plan on overclocking amd so i might go with the h80 or 100

  • That fan controller looks really slick in that case...I want one =/. Your ideas are breaking my bank, bro. XD

  • @FearTheCalm Yeah, those touch screen controllers are great. As for the "bank": right after this build my wallet took out a restraining order on me. :>D

Check out my channel for the final build.

  • How much did this build cost?

  • @talibanking I really wasn't paying too much attention as to the cost of parts...though I really should have been taking account. If I were to estimate, I'd say around 2K.

  • Just my personal taste but i would put a H80 instead of the H70 and a black fan controller from scythe, without the led strips, corsair vengeance red and also i like more the red and black ROG MoBo's, Also have you seen the MSI twin frozr cards?

I like so much your cable management. Cheers.

  • You must download a LOT of series, blu-rays and games, LOL.

  • Awesome......super cool setup.....n after reading d above coments i got to kno about d HUGE!!!! HDD storage space......yea....cool......u kno 2 570 in SLI is equal to a 590......so dats gonna bang in games...........awesome....i just cant stop praising ur system.....awesome

  • @Rajorshideria Thanks much! I've made a few changes since this vid...check em out on my channel.

  • just awesome love all the red and i think ll use that split lume

  • 2011 build: i7-960 processor...

  • @lapartman Did you have a question or a comment?

  • Why do you need so many terabytes of space? You never really said. Bit overkill me tink. Also casing all the cables black. Hmmm. Not exactly great when you want to upgrade. Let's play find the cable. What do you use this setup for? Seem to have the best of everything but no reason why. I mean. 12gb ram???

  • @90210blackman First, see the later vid on the final build. I put all those hd's in there because I HAD them. Why not? Second..sleeving all the cables black. After 20 years of messing with computers, if I can't trace a cable, black , purple, green or otherwise, then it's time to quit or get on medication. I'm a heavy gamer and I dabble in animation and video work, hence the RAM and hd space. If this is "overkill" for a high-end gaming system, then tell me...what is the "standard" or "normal"?

  • Sorry for the stupid question, but what's the point of a DVD writer and a blue ray writer in the same case?

  • @CaptainP00face LOL...it's not a stupid question, but I have a stupid answer....because they were "there". I also like to copy cd/dvd/ to cd/dvd sometimes. However, since this build i have made a few changes...one of them being I removed the dvd/CD writer and am now using an external one. The Blu ray is still installed. see my vid on "Haf X Build Final (maybe)" for all the changes.

  • how much is that Cooler Master HAF X

  • i hav coolermaster too

  • 10TB of memory... Are you downloading the internet or something? 0.o

  • @nfsmwbefast LOL...Why so much? Because I just had that much and thought I might as well put it in the system. Since then I have removed that bottom drive cage to allow for more air flow (see the vid on my channel) . Now the system just has 4TB of storage plus the 256GB SSD as the primary.

  • can i have it ill trade u for my crappy laptop

  • @huntergero1 Uh...hmmmmm.....let me think about that for a sec.....uh.....hmmmmm...uh....no....sorry. LOL

  • Why not Sandy Bridge? :D

  • @flashfith Mainly because I have yet to see an e-ATX board that meets the proper criteria for what I have (now). I have installed Aerocool Plus coolers on my two 570 graphics cards...that expands them to cover 3 slots instead of two. That EVGA board is the only one I've seen yet where I can have a nice gap (better cooling) between the cards and yet still be able to access the board's CMOS and power buttons on the bottom of the board.

  • @flashfith Correction: those are Arctic Cooling Accelero Plus coolers, not "Aerocool".

  • Probably going to be my build; Intel Core i5-2400 3.10 Ghz RAM; 4GB DDR3 HD ;1TB Graphic card; Planning on buying an EVGA GTX 580 Powersupply; Planning on buying a Corsair CMPSU-850AX or the 750AX. Case; Cooler Master HAF X Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Screen; Dell ST2410 - 1920 x 1080. Cooling; Corsair H70. Mobo; MSI H67MA-E45 Micro ATX.
  • how much it cost ?

  • @olrige Didn't really keep track, but I would estimate about 2000 USD, perhaps a little less. Got some nice rebates on some of the major items.

  • Bad cable management man cable ties are very cheap.

  • @MBisFrenchy Yeah...that's bad cable management....for a build that wasn't FINISHED yet. You're the second person to have missed that...

  • @Dechomai did you have to use an extension for the 8pin cpu power with the haf x? Im planning on using the same power supply but ive already bought a corsair 650d so its not quite as big

  • @wardy92 For the HAF-X I had to extend that CPU power cable. It didn't quite reach. You might not have to with the Corsair, but I'd have one handy.

  • @Dechomai yh i was going to buy 1 just incase thanks for reply

  • @Dechomai what about the GX 750 watt? It comes with the case that im buying off Scan.co.uk, so im guessing it works?

  • @TheWoWRevelation That Corasair GX 750w psu should do you fine. Looks like they didn't skimp on the psu like too many other retail systems do. The psu is just as important as any other component. Never compromise on the pow-ah.

  • @Dechomai Thanks for the reply! I was really getting stressed on this problem, thanks a ton! :) Gonna order it right now, It'll come on monday woooo!

  • @buk355 Understood. I promised you a vid response, but I unboxed the case and forgot all about it. I had some plans to do some mods to the top, front and side panels, but after unboxing it, I decided I liked it as is....that it really didn't need modding or re-engineering. (except for that poorly designed graphics fan shroud on the drive bays...i cut that one down a bit). So you are right...it ended up being a stock build for the most part. Currently working on a mid panel fan duct. for it.

  • @Therollofthedice I originally DID sleeve most of those cables/wires, but it was becoming quite a pain to remove plugs, heat shrink, etc.. I didn't like the end result, so switched to split loom. With the side panel on, you can't even see them there at the top of the mobo. I also got rid of the fan controller (all fans are at max anyway), so that eliminated quite a lot in the back (fan leads and temp leads).

  • nice

  • Go to my channel and you can check out what it looks like with blue lighting....

  • @TheTemplai Actually, I agree with you...it was a bit much. I just wanted to try it out. Ended up going with all blue lighting. Given the location of the case, if it weren't lit, then you would be able to really see the interior.

  • Well, I think that red lighting is way too much.. It's kinda' killed the look of the system!

  • Very nice build thumbs up! If I may ask, what is the diameter of your split loom?

  • @Paradox155 Thanks! I used two different sizes depending of course on how much "coverage" I needed. Used 1/4" for fan leads and front panel leads and 3/8" for the CPU power cable. Not really necessary to go any wider than that. I bought the loom from Microcenter.

  • EPIC WIN TO YOU SIR.

what was the final price of the build? do we even want to know?

  • @teeroy2424 Enough to have kept me in junk food for a lonnnng time...lol. Actually, most of the components I already had...just trensferred over from the Thermaltake Spedo case I had previously. Just watched for sales, rebates...did some "horsetrading" for some of the parts. I could look up current prices, but it would probably just tick me off on how much I spent. But I try to look on the bright side...I can play Donkey Kong in high resolution AND "in style"....

  • @Dechomai yea no thats ok... this kindof project is extremly out of my price range... i just noticed that you didnt have it marked... thx anyhow, nice vid, keep up the good work

  • I like the red :D all my previous builds were blue but now just like you went to red for a change. I'm liking it so far

  • i thinking you like red lol

  • @lyubomir1111 Actually...I had always gone blue with case lighting and was going to do it for this build, but decided for a change of pace I'd try all red...so far I'm liking it. But I wouldn't be surprised if I go back to blue eventually...maybe blue AND red...lol.

  • @Dechomai that would really nice mine i have every thing blue i thing of putting more led lights in my case

  • @lyubomir1111 Ya....thinking seriously about replacing everything with blue. I've cleared out the hot swappable area and might put two Silverstone Blue LED Air Penetrator fans in there...get a nice cold wind tunnel effect straight to the H70 cooler. If I do this, I'll post another vid, albeit much shorter.

  • Bravo!

  • nice video, well presented

  • @xTomHDx Thanks!

  • Nice PC great job on the build. Check out mine when you got the time :)

  • @Mupp1t Thanks, man. I checked out your rig...VERY nice! Gratz on those mods! Sweet!
