wohoo!! this a really nice transalp but in my opinion transalp sticker would be more visible and also turn signals could seem better with the black transparent paint or just transparent cover (if it is available in the market)

It looks really nice! Great job. But the Transalp letters aren't very well covered. And i preffer the original handguards instead the acerbis one... better wind protection. But it's just my opinion. Well done!

I just went to a shop that selling car colors and asked for a "supermatte black".

I don't even remember the brand. for me, matte black is matte black ;)

Ok, this vid is old enough now so tell me - how did the paint hold up against weather etc? Looks epic on pictures...

after 2 years the bike looks the same. I  don't keep the bike in a garage. I just try to protect it from the rain whenever I can. The only problem with the matt color is that only when it's fresh washed looks so nice like in the pics. After some days with a little dust looks like a burned bike after the fire...

Your bike looks excellent mate. Did you get all the bits professionally sprayed - or did you do it your self? I have a 2002 Transalp my self and I would love to do this. Matte black rules totally!

everything is done by myself, if you have a little experience on spray(or airbrush) painting, don't think about it, JUST DO IT! You will have much fun converting your bike to something new!

Holla TA owner , I know that tastes of ppl are very different so do not take it bad but I liked the red colour better , I have a black metalic TA 1995 , with scratches here and there on exhost like yours and more bellow , but If I ould paint it , rather white , golden color green or metalic blue and last would be the black. But You did anice job and wish a joyfull ride what you have definitevly. If you like visit my TA vids best regards

Thank you very much for your comment! Of course everything is about taste. Before I decide to paint it black, I had the idea to paint it in fire red color, but then it would propably look like a ducati, something I didn't want.

Nice! As these bikes seem to go on forever [ many 20+ year old ones are still running] maybe a decent paint job and decals with a few add ons every few years is the answer to 'bike boredom'...but then Honda would never sell any new ones haha!

I spent about 200 euros, but I made everything by myself(paint, stickers, etc.) and some of the things were second hand(used).
