I agree with some of this.
Cockblocking, by a woman, can often be because they're territorial/competitive. Sure, some "friends" are altruistic but often it's pride & jealousy: why am I not the centre of attention? why are you attracted to her over me?
Then there's the issue of "having" to gain the approval of multiple women when we're really interested in one. So, by committee, we are being judged as an individual (by a group) for initiating contact.
