  • right on. did you re jet it?

  • how many rings did you put in?

  • @doobaloo1321 i used 10. the reason i used 10 is it is between 8 and 12. thought it would be a good starting point.

  • did you have to rejet the bike?

  • did you have to rejet the bike at all? did you put a performance air filter on( i do not know much about it, ive just seen my friends and his air box is gone and just a filter)?

  • nice sounds, how much did it cost?

  • @nagrain 250-bucks. depends where you order from.

  • got the same bike with the same exhaust. it sounds a lot better in real life. i love it.

  • What year klr is this?

  • 2005

  • What's the advantage of this over the stock pipe?

  • No advantage, it just sounds better.

  • Okay, thanks!!

  • @ryannis111111 i have the same pipe on my 01 klr and youre right, it sounds wayyyyyyy better than the stock! =]

  • Depends on what other mods you have, I put a Jardine on my 08 and with an uni air filter, rejetted and did the 22 cent mod and adjusted airscrew and the bike was snappier and pulled harder from bottom to top and dont forget louder is safer..

  • Thanks for the reply!

Right now I'm getting to do the T-bob mod.

While I do like the pluses you mention ... I much prefer quiet over loud (as do my apartment neighbors). But then maybe this pipe you have isn't defining, either. I'll have to look into it.:-)

  • LOL, the Jardine is one of the louder ones out there, I put the quiet insert in it, it helped, the TBOB is one of the mods that the factory should put in , after installing it you will notice the bike is happier, use good thread sealant, not teflon tape, dont ask me how I know.. :(

  • Thanks much for the advice, sir, I'll be sure and follow it.:-)

    Safe riding!

  • Wished I could say I was still riding, had to sell her, daughter needed braces so my baby had to go ... :(

  • @chowhound3 you are a good father to think of your daughter first. you can always get another bike. Good man!

  • Decent sound, I like it

  • did you have to rejet the carb ?

  • No rejetting. If you use IDS2 all you do is use 8 to 12 of the disks.

  • is it the quiet or the race series?

  • It is the quiet series. Race version is too loud for normal riding. Have a friend that put race version on an took it off after about 100 miles an put IDS2 on.

  • sounds good
