you are very talented, first of all. though on one of your extensions, the lifted leg was bent. also, that costume is really revealing. it hardly covers your chest!!! my studio would nver allow that. at least wear a full body tight underneath. there is really no point to showing that much skin. other than to show it off. i mean for petes sake your 8!!!

You have great control of your body! 2nd if you were a TRUE dancer, you wouldn't care what she wears, you would be paying more attention to the great technique and the amazing talent that she has. She is a wonderful dancer. Performing like that at her age is incredible. My only question would be- is it necessary for 8 year olds to perform in uniforms that are closer to bikinis than dance clothes? Nothing negative towards the dancer, this is an issue that spreads throughout the dance culture. Think about what this portrays to young girls about self image and dance.

She's a beautiful little thing... but the dancing isn't age appropriate. Her technique needs a lot of work. It's great she can do the tricks, but the in between steps show now technical control. I apologise I got confused with Devin Oshiro I thought her last name was Ocampo for some reason. Oops! Both Amanda and Devin are amazing and inspirational I apologise for my mistake.
I agree that she is technical very good! But I miss the love and feeling some dancers put in their dance. If I had to choose between a very technical dance or a dace with emotion, I would go for the emotion! :) But what am I saying? the girl is only 8!! over 5 years she will be top!

Amanda left because for her and us as a family it was a decision that her Dad and I made. Her transition was very smooth as many of the girls at The Element had danced with her in the past. She dances the same amount of hours as she did last year. About 12 give or take.
Let me say a few things. First and foremost, the costume.
THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!!! Standard dance costumes. It would be worse if she were older. But shes not, so its no big deal.
And to whoever said someone about her only being able to kick, turn, and leap- hate to break it to you but a large portion of dance is made up by those three things.
And lastly, vanessa, shes still dancing, but not as much, yes?
She is an amazing dancer, I've watched most of her performances and lyrical is definitely one of her high points. And, a dance costume especially for the skill she has, should actually be as small as possible, so your costume doesnt get in the way.
you are truely gifted. i dont think you should ever give up dancing. you have a talent that many young dancers dont have. being able to sustain your movements and everything is amazing. i wish i was gifted like you and im in my fourteenth year. keep it up. your amazing
Wow I have been reading all of these comments and I am sick of reading 'the costume is too revealing'. It's a costume! A dance costume! That's what dancers wear and it also allows the judges to see if her legs are pulled up and other things. It's no different from wearing a bikini to a swimming pool! She's not walking around in public, she is dancing on stage. She is such an amazing dancer, and her turns are just beautiful. She has amazing control. Great job! :)
im a dancer and im not the best at turns and my leg goes Fairly hight. but thats not all that dance is about,
i dance from my heart and my soul, and i think that when a lot of competition dancers dance its more about how high their leg goes or how many turns you do, like literally the whole entire beginning is her kicking her leg up.

yes the costume does show a lot of her stomach, we all can admit that. but, its not neccisarily a bad costume for an 8/9 year old or a great costume. as long as she isnt doing any dirty moves and shes comfterble, its a fine costume

Can I just make a very valid point? To all of you who think that this danceor costume were too mature, they were not. Amanda's Dad and I both loved this dance choreography, the song & the costume ALMOST as much as Amanda did. I hope someone out there might be intelligent enough regarding dance 2 know that certain children can NOT be held back & need more of a challenge. Amanda was 8/9 for the dance season above & she had to have her choreography 4 the 8 and unders & strong enough for Jrs 2

you know a dance is AMAZING when you barley notice the music, you are only focusing on the dancer. I've only seen one other dance that is powerful. the only thing i have to say is that costume is a little to risque for an 8 year old. but that doesn't matter too much, as long as she's comfterable. Let me say a few things. First and foremost, the costume.
THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!!! Standard dance costumes. It would be worse if she were older. But shes not, so its no big deal.
And to whoever said someone about her only being able to kick, turn, and leap- hate to break it to you but a large portion of dance is made up by those three things.
And lastly, vanessa, shes still dancing, but not as much, yes?

She is an amazing dancer, I've watched most of her performances and lyrical is definitely one of her high points. And, a dance costume especially for the skill she has, should actually be as small as possible, so your costume doesnt get in the way.

you are truely gifted. i dont think you should ever give up dancing. you have a talent that many young dancers dont have. being able to sustain your movements and everything is amazing. i wish i was gifted like you and im in my fourteenth year. keep it up. your amazing

Wow I have been reading all of these comments and I am sick of reading 'the costume is too revealing'. It's a costume! A dance costume! That's what dancers wear and it also allows the judges to see if her legs are pulled up and other things. It's no different from wearing a bikini to a swimming pool! She's not walking around in public, she is dancing on stage. She is such an amazing dancer, and her turns are just beautiful. She has amazing control. Great job! :)

She is amazing. I agree with Vanessa, some kids need more of a challenge and cant be held back just because of their age. Very talanted little girl.

im a dancer and im not the best at turns and my leg goes Fairly hight. but thats not all that dance is about,
i dance from my heart and my soul, and i think that when a lot of competition dancers dance its more about how high their leg goes or how many turns you do, like literally the whole entire beginning is her kicking her leg up.
and im not trying to be mean or anything but still.
but she is an amazing little dancer.

i think shes unbelieveable! and for her costume i think its beautiful! i dance and my solo costume is exactly like that. and the costume has to match the dance and look good on stage. this costume definatly matches her dance. shes amazing

yes the costume does show a lot of her stomach, we all can admit that. but, its not neccisarily a bad costume for an 8/9 year old or a great costume. as long as she isnt doing any dirty moves and shes comfterble, its a fine costume

it doesnt matter what ur costume looks like..........when i first started dancing all i wore was a blue sports bra and just short shorts.......its also because they cool off
like having a body covered costume..........u would sweat like crazy.......thats why..........GO AMANDA

yea... it doesn't matter what her costume is... because she is amazing i mean, some dancers are flexible but can't dance and some, vise versa... but even as off topic as that was, Amanda is AMAZING

Can I just make a very valid point? To all of you who think that this danceor costume were too mature, they were not. Amanda's Dad and I both loved this dance choreography, the song & the costume ALMOST as much as Amanda did. I hope someone out there might be intelligent enough regarding dance 2 know that certain children can NOT be held back & need more of a challenge. Amanda was 8/9 for the dance season above & she had to have her choreography 4 the 8 and unders & strong enough for Jrs 2

you know a dance is AMAZING when you barley notice the music, you are only focusing on the dancer. I've only seen one other dance that is powerful. the only thing i have to say is that costume is a little to risque for an 8 year old. but that doesn't matter too much, as long as she's comfterable. (i cant spell)
