  • It is kind to take care of a dog that is starving.

  • How else can we practise to be compassionate to all beings if we can't do so to a helpless dog?

  • How do we contribute or help to make Kechara Animal Sanctuary a reality? It is so easy to praise and talk about how great it is and how wonderful it is, but I would like to do more than just praise. I would like to help and contribute, and not just stop at offering my praises but wait for someone else to do the actual work of making it happen. So, please let us all know how we each can help and contribute - for those who truly care and believe in animal rights.

  • Bless you for rescuing this little dog.

  • If we can't find our heart to love all animals, at least we can try with some adorable ones first.

  • Oh so lucky Gonkar! He looks so unreal - just like a cuddly toy.

  • not saying fluffy dogs arent cute, but its not hard to be sentimental about rescuing cats & dogs.

Don't forget all the other animals... the chickens, cows, goats, frogs etc.. if we want to be kind to our animal friends (not just the fluffy ones), we need to stop eating them too!

I see Rinpoche is a strong advocate of vegetarianism & I hope the animal shelter comes about too

  • I didnt know that Tibetan arts are available outside Tibet. How interesting. Wow, this Buddhist centre is really one of a kind to bring even Tibetan arts to their organisation.

  • I hope Kechara Animal Sanctuary will be built so that many neglected and abandoned animals will have a better place to live.

  • Yes, there arent that many animal sanctuary around that the animals can roam freely and be in a green habitat.

  • It is quite sad that many people bought pets and then later when they are bored with them, just neglect them. Luckily there are people like Tsem Tulku Rinpcohe and Kechara folks who aspire to show their care by building an animal sanctuary.

  • Oh I remember that one! I read it on Kechara website. I remember there was also a quote from Tsem Tulku Rinpoche that what they have done created a cause for the animal shelter in the future.

  • I remember I read about Tsem Rinpoche giving fish to the various departments and staff to take care to encourage care for other beings. How wonderful.

  • Gonkar is not the first. They have rescued many animals before I read before that they have rescued another schnauzer, Jamyang, a Chihuahua and many more.

  • Gonkar is an example of what Kechara Animal Sanctuary will do rescue abandoned or mistreated animals and giving them a better place to stay.

  • I heard there will be mainly a dog shelter, and other animals that they will rescue. They have visited plenty of animal shelters to see what they can do.

  • Kechara wants to build an animal shelter - Kechara Animal Sanctuary. I wonder what they will have on the property.

  • They have also started to help the poor in Kathmandu as well. They have started to help a rickshaw drivers family there.

  • 600 packets! I didnt realise there are so many homeless people in Kuala Lumpur.

  • Thanks for the link. I read online that initially they only offered few packets of food. Now they distribute around 600 packets of food weekly.

  • You can look at kechara(dot)com/ksk for more. They really have grown.

  • Yes they do. Kechara Soup Kitchen welcomes volunteers but they need to attend a briefing session prior to joining the distribution rounds.

  • When do they do that? Do they accept outsiders to come and volunteer?

  • Kechara takes good care of the homeless through Kechara Soup Kitchen. They distribute hundreds of packets of food to the homeless in KL weekly.

  • Kechara not only takes care of people , animals too, wow!

  • Tsem Tulku Rinpoche loves animal, he has a pet dog, and an aviary to create the causes for the manifestation of a huge animal sanctuary in the future.

  • Thank God there are kind people in the world who loves animals, and I heard Tsem Tulku Rinpoche really loves animal.

  • Its all about the money They just care about making money and not really about the animals.

  • The world is really cruel. How can they leave a dog like this to starve and suffer in the pet store?

  • What a cute dog. Lucky he was saved by Rinpoche.

  • Soooo cute!!

  • i love it, it's so cute... and i want him too

  • i want, mail me him
