She makes me dizzy. Vive Francoise. she's timeless.

  • I can't understand a word of it, but I'm in love with it.

  • HEUMMM plutot "free video catcher" me suis trompée xD

  • Great!!! Grossasrtig!!! Grand!!!

  • So true!!!!!!

  • C'est tres belle je l'aime :)

  • merci francoise you are a class act !!!

  • Nothing is ever acquired to man Neither his force, his weakness, nor his heart When he believes his arms to be open, his shadow draws a cross When he wants to embrace his joy, he shatters it His life is a strange and painful divide There is no such thing as joyful love His life is as those unarmed soldiers, dressed for another fate How useful is it for them to wake at dawn When they end by dusk disarmed and uncertain Say these words and hold your tears There is no such thing as joyful love
  • @Rachegotter My beautiful love, my dear love, my torn wound I carry you within me like a wounded bird And this tasteless world watches us go by Chanting behind me those words which I have woven And which for your eyes so soon died There is no such thing as joyful love Barely learn to live and it is already too late May our united hearts mourn in the dark So many regrets for a thrill So many trials for a song So many tears for a melody There's no such as joyful love
  • Fabuleux & Malheureusement Vrai!

  • i just want to learn french after listening this song

  • @stuang000 Good luck! It's a hard highly poetic text.

  • @stuang000 If you like beautiful sad songs in French, you should try "La bohème" by Charles Aznavour. :-)

  • @dasibaho what else besides La Boheme ? any suggestions ? :)

  • @classico6788 Well... If you are not homophobic, you might like "Comme ils disent", by Charles Aznavour again. The song is about this one man talking about his sadness and lonelyness in a society where homosexual are not considered like "regular people". The topic is very well dealed in the lyrics.

Also, in a different kind, you may listen to "Requiem pour un fou" by Johnny Halliday. The story of a man who blew it because he had to kill the girl he loves so the love remains forever. I like it !

  • @stuang000 hahha ! yah u should until u find out it's so hard to learn then u have to give up , but i agree with u , after listening to a romantic french song , I make myself wanted to learn french !

  • @stuang000

    That's such a fine idea !

Aragon wrote in the most wonderful french , so poetic . He invents a new language , too , because he includes ancient and new forms ; and he spoke english , russian and studied italian and arabic poetry . So , his poems suppose him to know poems from all times and countries .

You can learn french by listening to Jean Ferrat "chante Aragon" . Hewas close to Aragon .

I didn't know Françoise Hardy sang so well ...

  • @stuang000

If you like this song maybe you should check the version by Barbara and others of hers songs; very moving songs and beautiful poems too. “L’Aigle Noir” “La Solitude” Nantes” are just a few of them

  • semplicemente stupefacente.
