@afullemptyglass I think apple never intended the emac to ever be used for anything other then education so it wasn't needed. Besides it's really more of an evolution on the imac G3 design so it's not something they would show off like that.

I really want a mac. I really can't afford to switch. I never did. That's why my family has been a Windows family for years. It's not by choice. It's by force. Apple is overpricing themselves, and it really frustrates me that nothing bad is happening to them that will get that fact through their skulls. Itunes is blocking them from bankruptcy.

the Powerbook 12" is sweet..

I had both 17" and 12"..

17" was the most powerful apple notebook i have ever used.. helped me out with video editing! however now it is no longer to support Final Cut Pro already so I have to buy a new one :(

apple put so much psychology in their ads, 1 inch THIN.. not Thick, Aluminium..Cheap, Industry first.. no-one else wants to do it

Why is the 12 inch PowerBook a little thicker than the 15 and 17 inch PowerBooks.

This is sort of true. Apple took the design of the PowerBook G4 when transitioning all of its computers to intel processors. You'll notice that that mainly the ports, the ambient sensor, some thickness changes, the iSight camera, and a few other improvements are on the MBPro design. My professor still has a PowerBook G4 15" laptop, and at first, I couldn't tell which one it was until I saw the sides of the screen and the thickness difference.

Well, I guess you can say this design is now old!
