Shifu Yan Lei has alot of power in his techniques. @glassking99 That's a great way telling the diffrences between Sanda and Muay Thai, since i myself have trained in these styles.
@glassking99 From what I've seen and studied they are actually more similar than they are different. Sport Sanda doesn't allow elbows or knees although they are taught. Sport Muay Thai does of course. Sport Muay Thai doesn't allow takedowns (uprooting/wrestling) but Sanda does. However, as similar as they are they have differences. Sanda has a lot more kicking attacks which come from traditional kung fu. I hope my explanation helped a bit. There's a lot of details to go into.
@nagi85 Thanks for explaining that nagi85 I just started Muay Thai and I really couldn't see any difference. But, I see no there are some differences.
His only good for show demonstration, I'm not saying his crap, his ok, I've seen better and I've done better. Seems to me I'm taling to someone who hasn't got any idea what I'm talking about. Enjoy the Xmas.
@massali2008 LOL you can't box the same way in sanshou/K1/muaythai/mma/other sports... boxing like mayweather/pacman is great in the boxing ring.. but in other sports your entire stance is different..
so before you criticise another sport please research some knowledge rather than rant...
@massali2008 no and why are you going on about boxing when what he is doing is cleary not boxing, its sanda (sanshou) not only that, there warm ups so yeah i will keep laughing
first he put like pip insulator its like a hard foam that goes around pipes to keep in warmth
the other thing is a foam matt used in acrobatics he got it from a school that chucked it away in a skip.
the steal pipe is from a scafolding pole that builders use to hold up buildings he got that from one of his students and then he like put a whole in the ground and put the pole in 3ft in the ground.

So when he kicks through the pads does he feel the hardness of the metal pole? How bad does it hurt? I need to get one of these.
