  • Holy crap... that kid can actually sing? I hate Linkin Park, but he sounds absolutely great here! The only person I have heard that has done better on a Zeppelin song is Chris Cornell, actually.

  • So many cool people on stage at the same time

  • I love LP and Chester too, but we all have to admit that Adam Lambert did the cover way better! No offence, I'm just sayin.

  • I used to think of chester like aback street boy , but after hearing him do justice to the Led Zeppelin classic Whole lotta love . I ve changed my mind about him thumbs up chester >>

  • effortless vocals. unreal.

  • holy shit, this is amazing! I would love to hear Chester do more stuff like this and AC DC

  • Just an FYI to dumb people. A wide vocal range doesn't mean you are a good singer. It's better to sound good in your limited range than hit high notes and sound screechy. Plus, Chester can scream like none other.

  • Chester sounded MUCH better than I thought he would.Props to chester great job.Best cover I have heard of that song in awhile.Just noticed Dave Navarro.Nice

  • Chester sounded MUCH better than I thought he would.Props to chester great job.Best cover I have heard of that song in awhile.

  • if John Bonham was the drummer it would be epic!

  • Dear too many to name:

Since when was music only about reaching the highest notes or making the most complicated riffs/solos? Music can be great because of simplicity and complexity. As long as it sounds good then why does it matter? Rock fans (esp) nowadays try to be all elitist and snobby about it and it's fucking annoying. Just because a fugue is more complex than a sonata, is it automatically better even if the sonata sounds better? A lot of you I feel would say so just to say so >.>

  • @xlilcutie93x Amen to that, simple can be just as awesome as complex...I love acoustic songs for their simplicity, but I also greatly enjoy complex stuff.

  • I like it

  • personally i can't stand linkin park but i'll give old boy credit. he did hella good on zeppelin.

  • Who gives a shit whether Chester can reach specific notes or not? Pull your heads out of your asses and just listen to the awesome music man...

  • How in the hell do 10 people dislike this performance. This must be one of the best covers of this song out there. Damn people are deaf!

  • dave navarroooo

  • gibsons rule

  • Yes, Chester can do something that Plant can't do. Screams. Just it. He does it very well. But thousands Metal singers can do Screams as good as those of Chester and even better. The difference is that Chester is just more famous because his band is more Pop. I don't like any sound of Linkin Park. But I have nothing against them. There are many bands that i don't like the music, but I have to admit that the singer is very good. But Linkin Park is not one of those.

  • Ridiculous. Chester is pathetic. He makes no acute vocal during the entire song. Sings in the tone that anyone can sing.

  • @Gnomofoby why dont you go there and sing ? lol

  • @aurangxaib Because I'm not a singer. But I don't need to be a singer, to know how to differentiate a bad singer a good singer.

  • @Gnomofoby then you should rather prefer shutting your mouth than giving your views... no body wants to know it except yourself...

  • @aurangxaib Well, I'm with the mouth closed. I'm typing with my fingers. I agree that my view is valid only for myself. But what makes you think your view is of any importance? You have your opinion, I have mine. Both have the right to post it here as many times as we want or like we want. Unless the account holder does not allow.

  • @Gnomofoby Your forgetting he is not trying to sing over the top, the song is a classic. be stupid to have Chester sing high ranges and do his death screams on again.. a classic. He was merely trying to keep it moderate to the originals, due to respect. Chester vocals can exceed so many and at the same time can actually sing from ballads and soft rock and hip-pop to Metal and Hardcore Punk.

  • @squallthegriever Chester Bennington can overcome the high and acute vocals of Robert Plant?

    YOU ARE CRAZY!?

Chester not keep it moderate. On the contrary. He is almost Killing Themselves to get to sing it. Send me a song that makes Chester vocals more high than Robert Plant, on songs like Communication Breakdown, Immigrant Song, Black Dog.

Then I'll agree with you: "Oh God! Chester is really the GOD Of vocals!"

But until that happens, I still think it Pathetic.

  • @Gnomofoby I never said in specifics he can do better than him, but there are things that Chester can do that he can't. Chester is one of the greatest modern singers. If you dont like the band he is in, due to style then that is different. But Chester is a good singer. No one is a GOD OMG singer. get over that.

  • @Gnomofoby Give me your name is a pretty high song. It is from his Dead by Sunrise album. Actually he hits alot of high notes in a couple of songs there.

  • @Tweak919 I had heard Out of Ashes. And to be honest, I found the instrumental much better than Linkin Park. But I saw nothing surprising in the voice of Chester Bennington. Please try to understand. I don't think he's a bad singer. He is really good. But he doesn't reach any notes that millions of other singers out there don't reach. It does nothing more to deserve all this acclaim.

  • @Gnomofoby The Little Things Give you away. Namely the end section of the song. The notes he hits are pretty high, most pop divas would have trouble getting that high imo

  • @Tweak919 Yes, they are quite high. Compared to you or me, we're not singers. But compared to the real singers, no big deal. Pop Divas? Ha Ha

Who is talking about Pop Divas? Until then, I was talking about Rock. Chester Bennington is a pop diva?

I'm not talking about Pop Divas. I'm talking about rock singers. Chester sings well, but is nothing compared to the current singers like Myles Kennedy, Cormac Neeson, Miljenko Matijevic, or older singers like Ian Gillan, Brian Johnson, Robert Plant.

  • @Gnomofoby

Boy, do I have something for you that WILL surprise you!

Watch the 'Faint' at Rock Am Ring 2007 live version. The ending screams, of the outro part of the song. You'll be surprised :)

  • @Gnomofoby

if you type in on youtube; linkin park rock am ring 2007, you'll get faint first, click that one, then go to 3:08 and be surprised. it's probably one of the highest screams he's ever done at a live performance.

  • @Traiannnn So he should stay in their style, on LP, with its Screams, and not try to sing Hard Rock, because he has no ability or vocal timbre to do it.

  • @Traiannnn I never said he can't do Screams. He can, yes, and very well. If I do not admit it, i would be a complete idiot. Chester makes amazing Screams. I don't need to see Faint to surprise me. I saw and I had no surprise, because I knew he was makes great Screams.

But that's all he can do. Screams. His voice is too smooth and clean when he is not doing their screams. Because it is so soft, he can not do drives, or reach high treble.

  • @Gnomofoby

Okay wait, I have a song for you by Linkin Park.

    /watch?v=zQLMrN2d460

    start at 0:16

  • @Gnomofoby

And pay attention the way he sings after 1:25

  • @Traiannnn Okay, kid. 've Watched and I was not surprised. If this is enough to amaze you, fine. But not for me. Simple. I'm sorry, but I'm not satisfied for Good singers.

To surprise me, a singer has to be perfect. Abnormal, and sing like few humans can sing. And Chester, though good, is light years away from being perfect, or abnormal.

  • @Gnomofoby .l.

  • I'm not one for covers but man, Chester did a really good job. Way better than the guy on AI and other attempts at this song.

  • @nezuko11738 Are you talking about Adam Lambert?

  • I think we know who is the best singer of this generation. No other than CHester Bennington.

This guy can do it all. Listen to Given Up he screams like a champ. Numb nice normal paste voice. Leave Out All the Rest nice and slow, He's just to good plain and simple. I think he deserves respect from 70's rock rollers. this guy can do it all.

  • Great show.

    Chester did great.

    And so did Slash.

Satriani, so so. (Perhaps it was the seventh day and Guitar God was a little tired).

  • I wish i was there!

so jealous of the people in the crowd,

Chester is a great singer whether you like LP or not you have to admit it

cant wait too see them in december

  • Holy shit that was amazing!!

  • fucking. A-Mazing!

  • Chester can thrash his voice like Plant can. I do not care if you hate linkin park or the singer in general, he fucking nailed this song. If you do not think so, you are just being an old dickhead.

  • I've watched enough people cover this song and while noone can be compared to Plant, chester did a hell of a job. accents hit different notes so with that considered,,,, yeah it was good coming out of a kid from arizona.

  • That's really good! Far more better than this gay guy cover from American Idol

  • @asrod That's an interesting comment from somebody named Assrod.

    Just saying.

  • Slash jammin' Zeppelin, think my head's gonna explode! Singer kinda sucks though

  • @QDogg17i You suck.

  • Chester fucking Killed that !!!!!!

  • the overall is nice, but slash's solo isn't nearest as good as page's

  • Chester"s Perfomance is suprisingly very good:-)

  • Chester is still underrated! He can be as great as Robert Plant!

By the way maybe he can try Stairway To Heaven.

  • Fak - its great! - --- how Chester could do this .... so tight! Man - its brilliant - great vocal!

  • Chester should sing more Led Zeppelin's cover!

  • Mmmm yes Chester give me every inch of your love :)

  • wow that was amazing slash played it perfect omg!!!

  • its kinda sick taking a great modern rock singer 2 guitar gods and one of the best rock songs of all time and throwing it all togther

  • amazing

  • Wow this is really good!

Im glad he didnt try to sound like Robert

  • Chester is the BEST singre ever!!!<3 He can sing every fucking style!!!<3<3

  • The voice of this guy is so unique and recognised that I cannot present a song at all which he could not sing.

Michael Jackson "Give in to me":D! It would be grandiose performed by Bennington.

  • wow !!! xD

  • slash AND chester... EPIC

  • pure raw rock!!!

  • Chester es el mejor cantante, ojalá hubiera estado en ese lugar yo!

  • 3:59 ... just like robert plant

    FUCKING AWESOME

  • fuck'n amazing solo!

  • @guitabra i think he could have done better, rather than essentially redoing the one from the original recording

  • Hey, did you GO to dis show? I seen Camp Freddy in the MIA - dey are fucking AMAZING!!!!

  • oh chester you so know i need love way down inside give to me beby

  • Love the scream 3:58

  • Chester is amazing... as always :)

  • Freakin' Awezome!

  • Wow he has potential that linkin park band should step up to his vocal level and maybe they can make some very good music

  • Wow very nice. Impressive singing right there.

  • He should just be a Led Zep tribute singer instead of being dragged down with Linkin park. His voice is great, even though it can't match Plant's, but that would be impossible.

  • I think he does it all better then plant except that slow part where hes all way down inside you knwo you need loooooooooooooove

  • yeah slash ;)

  • chester is great .. he should join velvet ad have some rock n' roll dance .. :D

  • Chester can hit the high notes, but he doesn't have the rough intensity and charm of Robert's one-of-a-kind voice.

  • say what you want about how much you love or hate Linkin Park for w/e reason...one thing can't be denied: (when he's on his A game) Chester can fuckin sing.

  • Chester is one hell of a singer!! :D

  • I love Chester's high pitch scream at 4:00

  • franky perez did a awsome whole lotta love with slash in Norway this year

  • i love 1:25 ~ 1:40

  • 于是。。。实在太High了。。尤其是1:25之后。。。

  • Yeah thats matt sorum on drums

  • is that matt sorum on drums?

  • I love Chester's voice!!!

  • Chester's really good at this. I guess he's just one of those people that was born to be a rockstar.

  • chester the new singer for velvet revolver? that's be cool

  • Actually he's not. But his voice is good enough to be a Hard Rocker.

  • Chester is such an awesome singer :)

  • Hell yeah! I don't think many people could do such an awesome version of Whole Lotta Love and even come close to matching what Robert Plant does but Chester is great! He can thrash his voice like Robert.

  • wait, why is this spam?

  • I dunno either.

  • Comment removed

  • Man... I wish Chester would have joined Velvet Revolver once Weiland left the band. Chester has one of the best Classic Rock Voices of today for sure. The man just sang the hell out of a Zeppelin Song. Awsome job. O ya and Slash is God.

  • oh WHY oh WHY are you saying that?? that would've been SUCH a dream come true!!! Chester and Slash are the loves of my (teenage) life!!! just seeing them perform on the same stage makes me...... ECSTATIC!

  • Chester is actually more suited for stuff like this than what he sings with Linkin Park. He would get all the fucking love in the world if he was part of Velvet Revolver.

  • I dunno how much you've listened Linkin Park but I have a background of being a fan of their's and I gotta tell ya, they're probably a band that gets more love from their fans than any artist/band in the world! And that's because their music and lyrics are the best way to deal with emotions that arise in some people in their puberty, and also because they are funny, real, relatable people. I do like Velvet because of Slash, but I'm not sure if loving them too hard would be as "healthy" as lovingLP

  • but it's cool to hear chester do this kind of stuff every once-in-a-while, though, I love his voice because it's so hard and soft at the same time. and I have no intention of dissing Velvet or their fans or anything, but if Chester joining them would mean the end of LP, then I think it's better to keep them separated.

  • m2 I can say more as that I just fucking totally agree!

  • agreed 100%

  • wow this is fucking good. i always thought linkin park was gay as hell

  • well, now you know they're far from it! I've always known Chester and Slash belong together. <3 such a fruitful relationship and all! lol

  • slash nailed that solo like it was nothing

  • Guess it's difficoult to write a solo like that way more than repeat it... Slash wrote some of the best guitar solos ever just as Page... they're both my favourite guitar player :D

  • id not heard of these b4 this vid, they gud :)

    5*

  • Chester Rocks, is one of the best singers of this entire worl, he can sing everything that he want!

  • linkin park is one of the world's best band,

  • Comment removed

  • haha.common man, linkin park nver gravitated towards flashy guitar playing or bass playing, but instead they found ways on how to be linking with each others melody and rhytymn in very creative way, they put together different genres of music together such as electronica, hiphop and alternative rock and make it into one sound that's undistinguishable and they r not even a rock band, theyre music is a new type of fusion, check out the list for the wrld's bests band, ur favrite band may not be in it

  • this is the best 5/5

    and chester is fuckin awesome

  • Chester's voice is amazing!!

  • slash totally jacks off the big moment, seriously what the fuck?

slash is a guitarist in style,he should be able to tear that place up,he's just cheesy hollywood blvd hack

  • Memo to Velvet Revolver: this is your new lead singer. Whatever it takes to get him, do it.

  • Yeah this is pretty BA One of the best Zeppelin covers ever, especially the vocals

  • chester is the best singer

  • chester is a real rockstar.

that's great he sings led zeppelin.

    LP4EVER.

  • Think they did a grat job on it and considering they probably didn't get to practice much at all together.Chester's voice ain't that bad especially if your comparing him to a studio recorded "whole lotta love" don't forget this is live!

  • and this comes from a small camera too!

  • dude...

    i COMPLETELY AGREE.

but in chesters defense, there problably won't ever be a singer quite like robert plant...

i think they should've stayed away from zeppelin, and their "highway to hell" didnt go so well.

  • Are you sure you were watching the same video I was? I mean, was it Led Zeppelin? No. But really, one of the best covers of this song I've ever seen, especially on Youtube.

I can't stand Linkin Park - I think it's crappy douchebag music. But this...this is pretty fuckin' good IMO.

  • @snidelywhiplash no its not crappy music, you just dont like it

  • @marcelorox311 That's why I said "I *think* it's crappy..." as opposed to a categorical statement like "It IS crappy." It was an expression of opinion, and I was careful to phrase it that way.

  • @snidelywhiplash chester is in a wrong band (likin park) anyway

  • @snidelywhiplash Linkin Park plays well.. IMO, their material lets them down. Give them good material like this, and when they cover NIN, they're good. They just need a better songwriter

  • @BearyKen Honestly the band is amazing with Chester and Mike as song writers. As an actual huge fan of theirs since 99. The main problem is the guitarist. I met the guy amazing guy, and he himself can play notes and chords in a much higher level than he does for the band.. .but it is his creativity that really damages the band. If they had a guitarist lets say from A7X, or Tom Morello like style the band could accomplish more. Either LP rocks

  • @snidelywhiplash

Hello, I understand you don't like Linkin Park, but search for some songs played live on Milton Keynes, it's really impressive

  • @snidelywhiplash As an LP fan i must ask.. how is it douche bag music? Linkin park is far one of the greatest and actual bands th in our modern times that does try to do something different. Regardless I aint ganna bash on you, but LP is a sick band.

  • very cool

  • slash plays the solo great

  • is tht singer from linkin park

  • omg.. Chester bennington AND Slash!! heaveeen <3

    LP!<3

  • Chester & Slash = YUMM

  • who's the scott weiland lookalike on the rhythm guitar?

  • Billy Morrison

  • Thanks

  • Great vocalist. I think he's perfect for Linkin Park, though.

  • I don't like Linkin Park. But Chester is brilliant. He has an amazing feeling of all songs that he doing live. Tom91381, thank you for all your videos about Camp Freddy shows.

  • chester got me looking at linkin park

theyre okay but just imagine slash and some other ROCK people plaing just underneath chesters vocals just like velvet revolver with chester or something

  • Making our way to that interlude....heheh

  • Fuck Fred Durst!!

  • chester is the best vocalist of this generation

  • Not a big Linkin Park fan, but I thought Chester did this song justice.

  • Chester has such an amazing voice. He blows me away as always!!!

  • Chester did an AMAZING job! He is one of the best vocalists around!

  • Fred Durst??!! He's good at what he does, but he knows his limits haha. He wouldn't even attempt this, much less upstage Chester. Nobody could.

  • amazin' Slash!!!!

  • chester rocks_____!!!!!

  • wow...that was amazing :O chester rocks \m/

  • CHESTER *____*

  • I soooo agree with you!!!

  • his voice is pure rock! \m/ is the best!!

  • what if this is the new linkin park?

  • LOOOOOOOL

  • Fred Durst is NOTHING compared to chester vocally

  • Fred Durst is NOTHING compared to anyone

  • Awesoomeee!!!! *-* Chesteer <33333

  • hooooly shit Chester has one of the best voices in rock and roll

  • Chester Bennington + Slash = Perfect! :D

  • agreed. i hope chester and brad rip out some rock and roll on the next LP album

  • I also wanted to see the LP at least play a song cover of the Guns!
