  • muy bueno tu video pero no es tanta horda lo que hay en el tablero

  • @TARQUIOLIDIUS: I am sorry, but I don’t speak any Spanish and if I translate this sentence with Google translate, I still don’t understand the question...

  • @WargameArchitect He just said your Gameboard is too big and the army just not that much for such big space left.

  • @NaNDoK: Thank you for translating.

Well, I believe it was a 6000 – 6000 point battle and the table was 6 by 8 feet. This video shows the first turn for the most part, so there are no Daemons yet. We were also a bit unlucky with the deployment zones so most of the battle occurred on one side of the table. This was mostly the reason of the wide open spaces. Nevertheless, it was a fun game ;)

  • what was that standing tau robot or walker plz reply plus nice vid ;)

  • @blackwolf9710: Thanks man. That is Metal Gear Tau Rex that I scratch build. Follow the link below to read a topic about the project en pictures of the finished model. I received more questions about Rex, so I think I will make a showcase soon.

  • Dude, what did the Metal Gear Rex model count as in this battle? I saw it painted red in 6:38

  • @Mazryonh: Rex wasn’t finished yet during this battle. I posted the finished model and the datasheet on the forum "Work In Progress". For some reason I cannot post the link. Do a Google search and check out the Tau section.

  • @WargameArchitect Just post the link as a website DOT com or something. That will give me a good idea of the domain name so I can narrow my search much more easily.

  • @Mazryonh: Of course… stupid me. There are three dots in this link:

  • @WargameArchitect Very interesting. I'm surprised you didn't use a twin-linked railgun (like the Broadsides) or the Heavy Railgun of the Tiger Shark/Manta, since the latter has the ordnance and Titan-Killer qualities. And how come Metal Gear Rex (possible Tau name "Megalodon"?) has no void shields?

To make the model more like the MGS4 Rex, the Burst Cannons should be Long-Barrelled, Twin-linked, and AA capable. Other weapons should include missile pods and a crotch-mounted LB Ion Cannon.

  • @Mazryonh: Well, the thing is I could only spend less than 500 points, so what I basically did is combining the Hammerhead and Sky Ray. Also the reason why the Burst Cannons aren’t Long Barreled.

But don’t worry, there will come another Metal Gear more similar to the one in the game. This one will be an Imperial Titan. Won’t be soon though.

  • @WargameArchitect I see. It's just that the original MGR's gatling guns were AA-capable, so the burst cannons on this model should be AA-capable and long-barrelled as well. The original MGR had a crotch-mounted laser weapon and missile pods, which can best be emulated with a long-barrelled Ion Cannon and Tau missile pods in this model, though I suppose you decided to go with seeker missiles for the more unique Tau feel instead.

  • Thanks man.
