Ah, that's my biggest beef with the smaller 1 v 1 maps. Always seems to ruin the game a little if you can shoot their keep from your keep. I like to play deathmatch with a hefty computer advantage so they can get their keeps up before I thwomp 'em. In normal games it can take them an hour to get all set up even when not under stress.

Let ballistas set everything on fire and put archers down, then bring in sum catapults, catapult main gate, and let swordmen kill lord thatzz it too easy

Then that would be a match(i fear richard could die, in that small amount of time, if i didn't intervene with 10 fire ballistas, 3 catapults and 24 swordsmen he would be dead) XD But my ultimate goal is victory and by not having any wells and not putting his crossbowmen to shoot down my fire ballistas he obviously lost too fast :(

i have 2 cheats that i know work at the menu hold ctrl and type triblade2002 then play crusader and do custom then just choose a random person.then during the game do alt+x and u get money if u hold it it will go up faster then another one is alt +k

I truly ADORED this game! I used to play it all of the time and build castles of all sorts. My favorite part of the game is the combat though. The graphics nowadays look a little old, but I find them to be extremely advanced and intresting compared to other games I see/play. Love the whole series!

Quick one! I always build towers to defend my area and eventually I build a huge wall around everything. I line it with archers and ballistae all with pitch rigs to finish it off :) keep playin!

When i was a newbie in stronghold, i was playing at my friends house (because we don't have net) online, with 30 minutes no rush. I built a castle (a massive one) but i havent got enough archers to protect it. And he rushed me whit an army of assasins. I don' know why is that so good.

i lov crusader...... i lov the horse archers and assasins and in the euro units i lov the swordman. but i find it very difficult to defeat the wolf wen he makes tat triangular shapped castle with 4 towers in the fronts and 2 towers at the hind of each tower. can anyone suggest me how to tackle this problem.....i also lov to use towers and ballistas.

the best way to be a good economist is to sell bread and crossbows, crossbows are very cheap to make because they just need wood, and they have the same prices with swords armors and maces!!!
