Back in the mid 60's, There were drag races held at Spruce Creek Airport site., and at Sanford. which I heard now is a landfill. My Dad promoted those races at both with the local car and bike clubs, sorry don't remember there names but i know some one out there does. Great video.

These aren't drag races tho, this is vintage Nascar, the convertible series, racing on the old Daytona Beach track..
While it LOOKS like they're just blasting down the beach, what you are seeing is the cars passing by as they lap the track
