  • @camillerib1 Hi, thank you very much for the comment and compliments. We are so glad that the video brought you fond memories of Gozo/Malta. Malta is a Gem, indeed. I understand what you meant by getting emotional when watching the video cos' my husband was an immigrant for in Canada and decided to return to his beloved Malta some 10 yrs ago.

Sending you warm regards from Malta,

    Jasmine

  • Very nicely put together. Prosit Jasmine.

  • The building on the left at 4:19 can you tell me about that as i walked past that today and I am curious about it and what it was used for? Thanks

  • @ladiesloveben Greetings from Malta. I am sorry to inform you that I have no information about that building you were inquiring. Warm regards, Jasmine.

  • @ladiesloveben that is an old unused hotel it's been abondoned for many years now

  • @LuvDaphne I just read Malta Times online and this building has been featured but no mention about its origin and why it was left out as you've stated "old unused hotel". The news report says that the building would be replaced by villas and pool. A planning control application has been submitted to change the designation of the land by a developer. Some paper works have to be submitted within 2 months etc etc.

    Warm regards,

    Jasmine

  • @JasAlf5959 yes i knew that they were gonna built villas instead. But i'm not sure if they'll do.

I know that it's unused because I live near the sute (:

  • @LuvDaphne *site

  • @LuvDaphne Thanks for the feedback and info. How lucky you are living at this beautiful site. Great view of the bay.

    Warm regards,

    Jasmine

  • Well done for this video and the music is beautiful. What is the name of the music at the end of the video - I'm sure its from a movie - dont remember which one. Anyway nice stuff.

    Ron

  • @RonLapin Sorry for the late reply as I 've been looking for the music that you inquired and finally found it this morning. The title is Hanover Street.

Thanks very much for the compliments and glad that you enjoyed the video.

    Warm regards from Malta,

    Jasmine

  • I'm Scottish and all my family are Maltese, my Mum was born above the City Gates in 1948.

I love these Islands. Paul was shipwrecked there 2000 years ago. Saul of Tarsus had an incredible personality. He made Malta and Ghawdex trhe first Christian country in the Western Roman Empire?

    Ma nafx nitkellem Malti Lol!

  • @Kelly14UK Sorry for the late reply. Had problem with youtube bugs. Thanks for your comment and appreciation. Yes, Paul was shipwrecked here in 60A.D. and stayed here for about 3 months. During his stay, he preached and converted first Christians here including Publius, the Roman Governor, who is venerated as the first Bishop of Malta. Publius' conversion led to Malta being the first Christian nation in the West, and one of the first in the world. Warm regards from Malta, Jasmine.

  • Thanks for your reply Jasmine. In fact we are quite interested in looking to buy in Malta and maybe use the place to escape the English winters or possibly go live there full time. Any ideas you have would be great.. Gozo or Malta

  • @rowley1950 You are most welcome. There are many properties here in both island for sale. I personally find that it would be a good investment to own one. I will send you a personal message for further info.

    Cheers,

    Jasmine

  • @rowley1950 GOZO.

  • Brilliant video. Never been to Gozo but hope to soon. Been to Malta and love the place

  • @rowley1950 Thank you very much for your comment and appreciation. So glad to know that you have visited Malta and loved being there. Its sister-island Gozo is equally fascinating. We have several upload videos on Gozo on this channel. Hope that you would enjoy watching them.

    Warm regards from Malta,

    Jasmine

  • Blimey what a beautifull place malta is, wen i was a kid still there ,i didn't see most of this, i think it's about time i gave it a visit after 50 years away.

  • @BOBCARUANA1956 Thanks Bob for your comment. Glad that the video brought you fond memories. Your last visit 50 yrs ago is a long departure. Am sure that you would enjoy these places when you return for a visit.

These places are beautiful which filled with interesting histories. Our visits hence became more fascinating when we came to know about their backgrounds.

  • @Multi2528 Thank you very much for your comment. Glad that you enjoyed Ramla Bay, Gozo. It is one of our favourite bays to visit.

    Jasmine

  • Jasmine, I think you've done a wonderful job of this video. The scenery and music is very moving. Ramla Bay was my father's favourite beach and I have many happy memories from being there. I really appreciate you sharing this with us!

    thank you my friend

    hugs Clarrisa x

  • @clarrisina Dear Clarrisina, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and appreciation. I am so glad that this video brought you fond memories of your dad and together with your visit at this beautiful beach.

Sea - it always reminds me of my dad because when I was very little, he carried me on his shoulder to walk into the sea. That was my first encounter with the sea. I think I was about 4 yrs. old.

    Hugs,

    Jasmine xxx

  • @JasAlf5959 How old are you? Because I learned to swim without water wings at Mellieha in 1977! I was first in the water and last out. I LOVE you ALL. XXX

  • Jasmine, I love your video with all the historical significance of this spot...Thank you for including the history...The beauty of the landscape is very pleasant to see, but the history that is included makes it more memorable...Thanks again for your lovely videos...Fran

  • @AccordionLadyMi Thanks you very much for your appreciation, Fran. I love history and hence, living here, gives me great opportunities in learning and exploring more about its fascinating history. Love its charming landscape too.

    Jasmine

  • Beautiful island!!!!

  • Thanks. Yes. Gozo is a very beautiful and peaceful island.

  • Terrific video and historical commentary, Jasmine & Alfred. Jasmine you have taught me more about my homeland than anyone else I know, and your photos as well as Alfred's videos are just great. Tthank you both. AsI told you when we met, I couldn't care less about peoples' ratings of my photographs as long as the photos please me and you should feel the same way about your work. Just continue to produce the excellent work as in the past.

    Sahha,

    Charlie Bowman

  • Thank you very much Charlie. Jasmine has taught me too about Malta because she cares to read and does lots of research before she puts the videos online.

We're not concerned with the rating but find it disgusting for someone to give the video 1 star simply because s/he wants to hurt or our of jealousy.

The emails we get from people especially from Maltese abroad are a great reward for us.

Jasmine has other projects in mind, in fact, she's working on another one right now.

    Regards,

    Alfred

  • Great video, you guys are teaching me so much about my homeland's history.

    Jasmine,beautiful photos.

    John Demicoli-Syd-Aust.

  • Thanks John.

There's more to Ramla l-Hamra besides its beauty. Jasmine found quite a bit of info about the history that enhances that area.

    Alfred

  • Jasmine & Alfred: PROSIT ! Wonderful photos & movie clips of pristine Gozo sites. Fascinating cultural background.

(I would move to Ghawdex in a heartbeat were it not for my two Yankee "woo:-)men"

    (g... Indiana, USA)

  • Thank you very much Grazio and very glad you enjoyed our trip to Ramla and ta' Kenuna

Gozo is a very beautiful island. I feel sad every time I take the ferry and leave that loveable island.

  • text from an Irish song ' The Patriot's Game'. LOVE OF ONE'S country is a terrible thing! RAMLA BAY IS STILL IN DANGER FROM ' GREED' and the powers that be. THANKS ALFRED AND JASMINE!!!

  • If they touch Ramla they'll commit a grave mistake because that place is absolutely beautiful as it is.

    Thanks for your comments.

  • Magnificent.. One of your best I believe...

    Thanks.
