this is the stuff i wish i had enuff tapes to record as a 12yr old but my moms said "i'm not buying u a hundred vhs tapes boy ur crazy". as many bulls games as i do have ur collection just really truly brings me back and alot of this footage has brought me to tears already. its just f8cking amazing...i luv how u cann hear phil yelling out directions from the bench. n mike just has this calm look in his face like.....i'm a killler. lol...he KNOWS thes the best....cold dude.
"What do you mean I fouled him! I'm Michael Jordan. I am single handedly responsible for your salary increase. Without me, you'd be refereeing at the YMCA!"
@ 7:10 I love how the players could actually express themselves without getting a tech.. now you dont even had to say anything, the wrong look will get you thrown out.
there are two or three players in this game that wouldn't get ejected in the match of today's nba. (or "nba of tomorrow" for that case) where tomorrow is in a few months probably - not in 2011 for sure, right? ;)
@ChiToNYc Actually it's a thing I said from watching him play in Chicago all my life. And also all NBA analysts agreed over and over again about this fact. Maybe he's not as intelligent basketball wise, and cannot CREATE as much as Jordan, but for the offensive physical abilities and the moves, he has it all. And still to this day, his power is unmatched by most players, but he was so smooth and quiet that it doesn't show much. Don't believe me? FINE!!
@ChiToNYc And by the way it's not a silly dunk it's not your normal dunk. This dunk is more powerful than all the dunks you see today. The dunks today are more showy, so they look like they're more powerful, but actually Pippen's dunks were much much more powerful than for example Lebron's dunks. After dunking, Pippen doesn't just pull his hand back up out the rim, instead he pushes down on the rim as if to tear it down. His dunks were incredible.
@WorldOfSnakes But it was still insane too say that pippen, on offense, can do the same things that Jordan can. Jordan has too much versatility in his offensive-game compared too pippen offensive abilities. And he also won the dunk contest 2x.
MJ's resilience was always remarkable, one in particular is when he rolled his ankle in the 93 playoffs in game three against Atlanta. It looked like a pretty bad sprain and yet he still came back in that very game and was unbelievable.
@alaskanmarine1 Yeah I agree he had a resilience that I haven't seen in any other athlete, ever. Even the best athletes, in any sports, when the pressure builds up and the situation is at its worse and there's not much time and chances for victory, they get affected by the pressure. However Michael Jordan it seemed like he got affected by it in a positive way, the more pressure there was, there more focused he became. It's crazy I don't know how he did that..I guess it's just the way he was.
@ShinAkuma21 Yep. If he woulda realized that bulking up, even if his team was asking him to do so, would be quite detrimental for him later on in his career, he probably would've went down as the greatest center ever.
@toomuchfails Probably...but the best center I've ever seen is Hakeem "the Dream" Olajuwon! He had breathtaking moves, I mean his dreamshake was unbelievable! His defence was awesome too! And Im Knicks fan and Ewing was great too but Hakeem is the best center I've ever seen! What do u think of Dream and Ewing?
@shaqpopcorn34 I disagree with u man...first of all Dream could shoot free throws, he had an unbelievable array of moves, and he never had a superstar teammate (with the exception of Ralph Sampson) in his prime like Penny, Kobe, D-Wade, LBJ etc...Dream dominated Ewing, Robinson and Shaq in the playoffs when the Rockets won back to back championships! And the Knicks and the Magic were my two favorite teams....especially the Knicks...
@shaqpopcorn34 What I'm trynna say is that Shaq was a great player...but nowhere nearly as skillful as Dream...I wish the Knicks and the Magic had won those two chips but it didnt happen...and another thing I forgot to mention is that Dream had no Phil Jackson on the bench...Rudy Tomjanovich was a great coach but Phil is...DAMN!
Hey hoops, the move he does at 7:58, I know he did that against Rex Chapman as well, but do you know of any other times MJ's done that? I'd like to have a compilation of that move.
@BigBuoyant Yeah he's done that triple-quadruple-fake-turnaround bunches of times. Don't know if I recall all of them to make a compilation of it though. Thanks.
Dammit, MJ traveled in time, to the future, and stole the reverse pivot move shown at 8:00 from Kobe Bryant...along with the fadeaway and all his other moves! Mike, you thief!
Great upload Hoops, you are the man. Have always loved your game descriptions, they are like basketball poetry, hehe.
MJ shot 45% FG? That's Kobe-like. MJ usually gets closer to 49-50% FG
