Out of all the Air Rifles that you shout what rating on a scale of one to five or what place out of ten being the lowest and one being the highest would you rank the RWS model 54 as?
Please take a look at the specifications on our product pages. The nice thing is that you can compare multiple air rifles on our web site and see those specs side-by-side!
@pyramydair Thanks a lot not only for the link provided but for the speedy reply keep up the good work. One suggestion being to make all your videos with a HD option.
I used to have one of these it was dog shit. The cocking arm had no sliding slipper that caused the sliding breach to pull over to the right has it drew backwards. The anti bear trap was a bit of thin plate with teeth cut into it (very cheeply made). The side lever was also folded sheet metal. Maybe i got a bad one but do yourself a favour and buy a air arms or bsa ect.
That does it im saving my pennies, had a few spring guns and always got to the limit of what they can do, was gonna go for pre charged but recoilless 54 it is yeehaah!!
I was lucky $350 for my 54 .... I think if was on the shelf for sometime cause the silver breach portion was discolored from light tarnishing; no big deal. A little heavy but wow this thing can shoot. I picked up a RWS scope too
Hello A question I am interested in buying a silencer for the target brand and model 54 saves if I want to recommend? porsentaje more or less in terms of reducing noise? is placed without removing the original muzzle brings rfle sorry if something bad writing or does not understand and I'm using the google translator from already thank you very much.
is it true that the diana 54 damages the scopes cause iam planning to buy a scope for my 54 and iam afraid to loose my money buying that scope then it gets damaged by the rifle
It's a powerful spring air rifle. Make sure you get an airgun rated scope (for instance Leapers TS - True Strength scopes can withstand the most powerful air rifles recoil).
@AYMANALSHRIAI also make sure to get a dampa mount, if you only use rings even though scopes like nikko stirling gold crown series can be destroyed on such a powerful springer if you only use rings, i'm saying this because i've lost a scope to it :( and i know of others that also have
Paul you didn't mention the weight of the wadcutters, but I think maybe some heavier pellets would have shown the true accuracy this gun is capable of. Love to see a review of this in .22!
@TheDodgeChallenger I bought a Beeman R10 in 1997 and later in 2001 I bought a Mod 54. The RWS kept .30 cal holes at 50 yards with 5 rounds. The Beeman was lucky to get a .50 hole with a one spread out to the right. This was all done at the Alpine Range in Ft.Worth TX. off of sand bags. The RWS is the TRG-42 of air rifles.
@threelittleniglets I would not say Im stuck. I also bought a Freedom Arms in 454 Casull and everyone says I should have bought a cheap Tauras or Ruger.
I like everything about this gun except for the side level cocking.. I'm really not so sure I like that. I don't know much about these guns at all, but I think I'd very much prefer a break barrel instead.
Thee reviews have been very useful to me. I watched your reviews and based on them I decided to buy Diana 54 AirKing. After testing the rifle. It proved to be accurate and powerful. I got the 0.22 version. As you said in the review, a little bit heavy. I tried it with Gamo 5 X 32 scope. The pellets I used were the Gamo Match Diabolo and the Gamo Penetration. I managed to break a cigarette from about 11 yards. The trigger is good, but If I manage I will get a GRT-3.
Your reviews are very well done. Thanks for the info. One suggestion if I may...chronny drives me crazy, lol. Chronno is much better :) Keep up the good reviews
No, unfortunately there is no way to sign up for a product that is not active, and we don't keep pre-owned guns visible on the web site unless we have them in stock. To be honest with you it's very unlikely that we will get this gun in pre-owned state any time soon. They never come back. I just checked and according to our system last time one was available was in 2008.
very nice review, ive looked at the gun myself a bit pricey but it looks like you get what you pay for, id like to know what type of rifle rest he was using throughout his review
well ,this is very nice..,but i have this idea that you are not telling every thing .i have a D54 in .22 n' it is a very good rifle,,but it is a really heavy air rifle n' one thing more is it kills scopes like no other!but to tell the truth the rws D 54 is one of the best spring air rifles ever!!
@thelibyandude oh bad news for me i was going to buy a scope for my diana 54 . are u sure about that, have putted a scope on it, did it work , plz tell me or anybody what type of scopes works and last with diana 54.
this is an air rifle , people do care about the spread, it shows how consistent this gun is, we people here love airguns and sure we will not point the gun at anyone. "buy a gun just for look and power " ?? that sounds pretty gangsta to me.
i love the "never point the air gun at another person" cos it reminds me of this dumb ass guy who pointed his loaded air rifle at me an ma m8 a dozen times even after we both told him not to do it the best part was he wasnt doing it on purpose he was really dumb enough to just wave the gun around like a tard.
yeah the .177 version of this gun is made for field target shooting. the smaller caliber lets it theoretically be better than .22 when shooting field targets, as some of the killzones on targets are .25 inches, something a .22 pellet could get caught on the side, resulting in a miss, while the .177 pellet shot aiming for the same spot, could pass through without a nick.
i'd love to get this gun. i hope they can make a left-handed version in the near future. if not i'll get a 48.
what is your top five favourite air rifles of all the one you shot?

@pyramydair Beeman does not even come close to a RWS 54. "Break Barrel" rifles are not as accurate. high end RWS rifles are the best you can get.
