Hey, this is my grandmother singing! Nope, she didn't stay in showbiz for too long after this, but one show-related tidbit I can tell you is that back in 1941 (before this was filmed) she was crowned Miss New Orleans. Today she lives with her husband and has 4 kids, 9 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids!
The singer is my mother Helen Englert. She sang for Larry Clinton (under the name Helen Southern), then for Jan Garber, and finally for Jan Savitt. She is still kicking it at 89!
