Dvořákova skladba je úžasná, ale můžu říct, že tohle je taky skvělé. Dvořák je čech a jsem na něj hrdá. Dvorak´s composition is amazing, but I can talk that this is also great. Dvorak is czech and I am proud of him.
You know when I was little I would try to put my classical peices to a rag/jazz beat and my mother would yell. I glad you didn't stop because your mother yelled at you. YOU ARE AWSOME!!!
I could listen to you play all day---and night! There 's not a day goes by that i haven't the pleasure of listening to you play. Thanks so much for doing this on youtube.
I meant to rate this five stars, but an errant click of the mouse seems to have made that impossible... But this mix of ragtime and classical music has made me happier than you can imagine! Keep it up, man. You're amazing.
i had to play this since the beginning of 8th grade, ive been playing it for a bout 4 or 5 months, and i love it. i wish i could polay it on piano like this
I just saw the new one you posted for Humoresque... and I came back to see this one. This one is still my favorite. I just can't get enough of it! Thanks again!
sorry I improvised this performance so no sheet music. Check back later as I'm working on releasing my first music CD and MIDI/sheet music available soon.
really lovely playin! probably the best version of the humoresque i've heard. sorry to be a pain, but I would love to play this song as well, any chance of maybe uploading a midi file or something? thanks in advance
Thanks so MUCH for putting this wonderful tune through the ragtime sieve!! Ragtime is a fabulous medium for any lyrical tune. You play with such beauty and ease, it's a joy to watch and listen to you! Thank you again.
Bravo! I asked my piano teacher 'why don't you play like that', her answer is Western People listen to such music since they were young, they heard a lot, and they are familiar with the rhythm that kind, so they can play it spontaneously, for people in Mainland China like us, it's not an easy thing. Therefore I choose the Scotts Classic 'the Entertainer', for her, in order to train her about ragtime style, hope one day she can play like that too.
You are in DAVIS!!! We are just outside of Sacramento and have friends in Davis! Where do you perform? How about the Palms Playhouse in Winters! We would LOVE to hear you live! WOW! kat
heck, what a clever idea. do this for fur elise, and then ill be impressed. Yes, i understand fur elise is a stupid piece of music, and lots of people on youtube think that their versions of it are good...but i think you will have a better go at making Fur Elise Rag/Jazz.
Yeah, actually I do play Fur Elise ragtime and it's one of my most requested pieces. I've been asked several times to post it. Will do so for my next video.
@hitthelightz oh dear...i wrote that?! lol a lot of my attitude has changed in 2 years. By stupid, in that context, what I actually meant was 'over played and about the only song people really know how to play.'
anyways, it most definitely is NOT stupid. I'm just over it. And I'm surprised half the world isn't over it either, but then I guess everyone has 'that song' they will never get sick of.
@goodridgewinners sorry i also did not notice that it was a two year old comment lol, but yeah its great music, but it has been over played so many times i agree
Great version of a great piece. Nice work Mark.

What a thoroughly enjoyable version of the piece. I've no doubt the ragtime police and classical buffs will be foaming at the mouth but who cares.

Hi, I like it very much. Antonín Dvořák would be proud of you :) I come from the same country as he did.
You guys, who are looking for the sheet, I am sure that you'll find good humoresque midis in rag pattern, than convert it to the sheet. Good luck!
