I don't really mind him modifying the lyrics (he changes various things on '39 and it doesn't make too much difference) but on this song the changes completely ruin the phrasing that was on the album, plus they don't make any sense (his temperature life apparently feels like a sunday school cruise)

I'm a Queen fan so I know what songs they sang on in the studio. I also know that Brian sang '39 in the studio while Fred sang it live. Brian's voice couldn't project live.

@JIF882 I'm guessing maybe because of Freddie. When they play I'm in love with my car Freddie is on piano. Rock it prime jive and modern time rock,n,roll if Roger sang Freddie would only be moving around the stage. I could easily be wrong though. Well I'm told that on some songs where Roger sings he didn't put too much into the drumming but I think he probably wanted Freddie to sing it.

No, no se trata de decir que son malas. Estamos de acuerdo. Respecto de The Smiths, hace poco fue catalogada como la banda más influyente del rock-pop británico, más que los beatles. Se lo tienen merecido, porque influyeron gran parte de la música británica de fines de los 80 y los 90, incluso hasta hoy. Yo no creo que Queen sea influyente, creo que Queen es UNICO e IRREPETIBLE. No influye porque tratar de hacer lo que Queen hizo es igual que copiarlo.
