@TheMinerva82 I wish he'd let Roger sing it live, that way he'd get all the words right and he'd be able to sing all the higher segments. I don't really mind him modifying the lyrics (he changes various things on '39 and it doesn't make too much difference) but on this song the changes completely ruin the phrasing that was on the album, plus they don't make any sense (his temperature life apparently feels like a sunday school cruise)
Oh My God... Queen was Amazing OMFG I am 15 years old and i do not like those today's waste of my generation. Classic Rock Forever! (Sorry About my English i am brazilian =D )

70s Queen is the best, absolutely...take a look at the whole live at Rainbow and you'll see how great they were...still love them in the 80s but...nothing can compare to their early power, damn god!!! *-*
@JIF882 Freddie sang rock it prime jive which Roger sings most of in the studio. Freddie sings lead vocals on 39 too which is sung i the studio by Brian.
@rekoonsghjkl I know this. My point is if Roger sang I'm In Love With My Car in the studio and live, why didn't sing this song live as well? I'm a Queen fan so I know what songs they sang on in the studio. I also know that Brian sang '39 in the studio while Fred sang it live. Brian's voice couldn't project live.

@seasonedsevencolors They didn't turn Pop - they just changed their musical genres a bit.
All right they started using synthesizers - but so did all other Prog bands. Queen managed to make their 70's material without them - which is very impressivve.
@seasonedsevencolors I'm into Queen since I was 10 years old (15 years ago). And I can never get enough of their sheer energy and genius. The best rock band EVER, by far! I'm a singer and have a Queen covers band. Freddie is and will always be my greatest inspiration (along with Rob Halford, David Coverdale and Ronnie James Dio, of course)
This clip is absolutely incredible sounding, obviously true stereo...how come some of the other Rainbow stuff you've posted sound nowhere as good as this? They look beautiful, but not as convincing in the stereo aspect...(dumb phrase...you know what I mean).
Whoa. It's weird hearing Freddie doing lead on this. I prefer Roger on lead for this particular song. And Brian does a damn good job on guitar considering that, for most of '74, he was out of commission. Unless this concert was before he contracted gangrene/hepatitis?
I actually dislike the album version of the song. I don't really like Roger's voice, it sounds strange on studio recordings (don't know why, though). I didn't like the song until I saw this very version :)

Freddie Mercury, in spite of some people who put him down, was actually underrated.
This is an electrifying performance typical of Queen in 1970s.

It would be really cool to see Roger singing this now, with his hard hitting son Rufus on drums. At a S.A.S show or a solo show.

Se puede oir eso cuando bohemian Rhapsody gano por la mejor cancion de siempre...
Asi qe si dices ser fan de Queen debes respetar a sus influencias tales como los qe mencionaste
