@f14maverick100 Yes. I recounted a little while ago and confirmed that its firing at around 600 RPM. The mag holds 24 rounds, count how many seconds it takes to empty it.

600 rounds per minute is 10 rounds per second. Your video sounds like it's firing at more a 4-5 rounds per second rate, that's about 150-300 rounds per minute.

i must say that weapon sounds beautiful, i meant to build a fully auto pneumatic back before i got into electronics but i ran out of time. the sound of the bolt cycling and the maniacal laughter that followed has just inspired me to dedicate a little time to making it a reality haha

It would really be something to see if you were to copy my design, but with everything being controlled electronically; i.e. monitor when the bolt is pushed all the way back, when it does trigger the electronic valve to refill the tank, then trigger the sprinkler valve, all the while monitoring ammo count, and not allowing it to fire when its out of ammo. maybe a big 8 segment on the side of the mag :)

you should make some acetal or nylon slugs or even cast some lead ones cause shooting AA batts is pretty expensive. I think something around a 40sw or 10mm bullet would work. You could also have your magazine hold 3-4x more using shorter projectiles. Great design though.

@eightball024 Yes i have been thinking of ways to both use cheaper ammo and shove more in to the mag. a 40SW and 10mm are the same caliber, and are both too small for my barrel. AA batteries are 14mm or 0.55 inches. Once i have a chance to work on it i will see about using 14mm lead balls, as i think i could fit a lot of them in my mag.

@ukilliheal 14mm is such an oddball diameter. 50cal muz load balls are easy to find as well as 50AE molds (fmj being way too expensive). Any chance you could make a tapered chamber and jam a nylon or other low friction sleeve in it to get to the 1/2" mark? Also I dunno the details of your bolt design but you sure it won't just shatter on impact one of these times? Could be worth it to have an aluminum bar cut for this. Amazing functionality of the gun and just be safe with the high pressure.
