  • bicycle ab workout is the best for your abs. push-ups, planks, and bodybuilders would probably be next on the list of easy minimal space exercises. anything that uses a lot of muscles at once is great. if you're running, throw in some elevation changes or even stairs and you'll see the difference it makes quickly.

  • different variations of push ups are great upper body work out, put your arms at shoulder width, go down slow explode up and flex at the top, this will work your triceps. For chest, put your hands wider, face your elbows outwards, go down slow, and explode up, flexing at the top

    One circuit that I learned from a friend who trained with team quest is the following with no weights. (follow up reply)

  • 20x squats, arms extended infront of you

    24x side squats. 12 on each leg. one foot is facing north infront of you, other foot is facing east or west. basically your lower body is torqued to the side.

    Spider push ups for 1 minute, as many as you can. As you go down, you bring your thigh to your arm.

    20x lunges

    ab rotations, feet up sitting on your butt, move your hands from your left side to your right side. As many as you can for 1 minute.

    That is the warm up I do. Rest is advanced.

  • Great, great exercise for your abdomen... sit on the ground, lift your knees to a bend. Your bum is the only thing on the ground at this point. Then, move both hands as swiftly as you can from your left side to your right side. You'll feel the burn, and it works nearly all of your muscles in that area.

  • Best workout with no equipment? Well if a bar, a suspended one, isn't considered equipment, I'd day practically anything you do on there. Chin ups, pull ups, upside down sit-ups, etc. They are all really nice workouts.

  • I've heard of similar workouts, and I may put that into my routine. However, I really enjoy making this intense, though your advice on little or no rest in between would do that.

    Now, why not increase reps?

    I also lift weights and I either increase my reps or weights every month or so and it makes it that much more intense. So... why not?

  • thats just it. the ideal workout should not exceed 15 minutes. so either increase the reps while keeping the time more or less the same OR keep the same reps and decrease the amount of time u take to complete them. This boosts your muscular endurance which is by far the most important athletic element you can strive for...its helps slow down ageing, boosts endorphins and builds stamina

  • Use a chair for your Triceps. By doing a backwards push up with you face away from the seat of the chair. You can also use 2 chairs to do dips .Put two chairs together with the backs facing towards each other with a space in between for your self and put your hands on top of the back of the chair and do dips. This helps build the shoulders and your deltoids.

  • lower body without running is silly phill. but to humor you, alternate wall sits and up downs. walls sit: brace yourself against a wall in a sitting position for as long as you can. i like listening to music while i do this just to see how many songs i can get through before i have to stop. try to keep your legs bent at a 90 degree angle. then stand up and walk it off for a little. then do up downs. from a standing position go to a pushup position and back as fast as you can. ta da!
