Phenomenal technique, but lacked tenderness and a certain melancholy that Itzhak Perlman had since he really felt the heart of the song as a Jew whose family went through the holocaust. It's very difficult to replicate that feeling despite the obvious talent.

Why is the tempo always so fast and linear in all your videos? You play with such emotion in every way except tempo.. Don't get me wrong, this is the best recording I've ever heard aside from the original but if you take more liberties with the tempo I think it could be the best.

having your eyes closed makes no difference to how difficult it is, and if you practice a piece for long enough which he clearly has your fingers get a muscle memory of how to play it. once i practice a piece for a month or so (like for a grade) i can play it eyes closed no problem-the hardest part of it is memorising the notes-but this guy is good
