  • Oh and lastly how long should I measure? Is 20seconds enough to get an accurate reading? I left it for about 3minutes or longer

  • @apedsta

The indicator of measurement accuracy – with increasing of accuracy fills in with yellow colour. With each measurement (it takes 10 sec.) the column of the indicator of measurement accuracy grows till complete

fulfillment. The complete fulfillment takes about 2 minutes (12 measurements). This is the exact average of background radiation.

  • Thanks for the reply! Yes I was measuring in my room it was 0.11-0.16 most of the time but once it suddenly spiked to 0.22 then 0.33 and straight to 0 and stabilizing again at 0.16, I was around my computer, is this to do with magnetic field ? Or does this look dangerous ;(

  • Hi there! Do you have any guide to normal background radiation levels for indoors? I got the device from you, thanks again ~

  • @apedsta

    Hi!

    Normal background radiation is 0.05-0.20 mcSv/h. (5-20 mcR/h.)

If radiation background exceeds 0.4 mcSv/h., you need to look for the

    reasons of this exceeding.

If radiation background exceeds 1.2 mcSv/h., it is not recommended to stay

in this place, it may be dangerous.

  • Is it possible to use this to test the radioactive Cesium content of food?

  • @brian94709

If a high content of cesium in the food, then Ecotester or the radiation detector Soeks-01M detects beta and gamma radiation.

  • @vasukino

Hmm, but I guess it is not straightforward to convert such a reading into, say, a becquerel per kilogram value for the food?

  • @brian94709

This device does not measure in the becquerel. Only mcSv / h and mcR / h.

  • @EatTheRich2012

In this video, the banana is a normal concentration of nitrates, but in potatoes - dangerous concentration . You can watch better this video, if switch it to HD-mode.

  • Why are the shipping cost from Russian Federationn high?

  • @Powdermonkey99

I also do not understand it. Mail in Russia is slow and expensive than in other countries.
