Great video - do you guys ever get problems with cars blocking the road between the station and the launching point?

Would it not be more practical doing a stern recovery before-hand? Or do u have to recover with the bow on an 85?

Stern recovery would be impractical due to the tidal flow across the launch/recovery beach. The Atlantic 85 is not designed to go far in reverse, the lifeboat would soon fill with water
