Why? Why? It may even be ok to have super hero TMNT as an alternate story... but the turtles are just wrong this way! They just barely have some resamblance to turtles, while that Saint thing has nothing to do with turtles! Instead of ridiculously trying to fit this crap into the original cartoon canon, it would have been nice to have a totally new story and anime cartoon style! Maybe an actual story of ninjas! This is the worst they could get! They did a decent job with the Powerpuff Girls!

While I do have to admit that I am not that deep into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and really love anime, I have to say... Those Super Mutant Turtles are NOT the turtles.

I appreciate the effort and I think the idea isn't all that bad for anime standards or anything featuring mutated turtles, but...

Those hulk-rejects are definately not the turtles. It would be cool if the super mutant turtles looked kind of like in the latest animated series, but this is just... well, crap.

really now? digimon didn't use mutastones to digivolve, they used destiny stones at the most. (and those things were fucking huge)

but saint mutation I guess kinda does look like digivolution of some sort, if you look at it a certain way..

though the beast mutations could be linked to season 2 I guess.. but this was around long before digimon, look at the production date.
