the swords called shana, its where she got her name from in season 1

@EtteSB no her name was originally shana if you watched all the episodes it mentions the name of the samurai and it also mentions that the swords name but im too lazy to go back and remember it but if the swords name was shana then that would mean she had no name until she was about 13-18 by looks of age. her name was shana before she got the sword and there isnt really a explanation you can use to come back against that because its kinda simple she didnt live without a name for awhile.

@FearsomeRain She didn't have a name, or at least she couldn't remember it anymore. Sakai asked her what her name was, she said she didn't have one or need one, she didn't need to be distinguished from other Flame Haze beyond Nietono no Shana, which is the name of her sword. Sakai then gave her the name Shana from that.
