I finally visited this spot. It looks like it would be easy to paddle in from the side and avoid the breakers altogether on your way out??? Deep local spot. Top of the world. Vanderbilts Breakers Mansion right there. Hurr. Bill; I was bodyboarding in Island Beach State Park in NJ.
