It's a wildlife sanctuary, I presume that smaller cages mean they can get fit more cages in the space and rescue more birds. Most parrot rescues try to rehome as many birds as possible.

I hope they let them out from time to time to stretch their wings, and climb on real tree branches. I love birds but to see a lot of cages like that is sad. we have a galah and he has his outside day cage and the run of the house from 4.30 until bed time. He wanders the yard, I trim my trees and he chews them into pulp, and yes he talks and has just started to use one rude word in a funny context. Check out x rated parrot the original for a laugh!! Have you tried to teach him alternates to the swearing? I had an orange fronted conure and he used to say F-You rather loudly. Now he says Thank You, just as loudly but much more acceptable. If you can't change the unwanted vocabulary, is there another parrot pal that could be company for him? Noticed that someone commented that it's unkind to take him away from the flock etc. He is a beauty. Thanks,
