I just got one of these tonight , i did this coment, and i like it , verrygood and fast traxass. mine came with a 8.4 7 cell battry pack, runs good , just i want more run time , then 4 to 7 mins, and ideas on how to get more run time, thanks.

45 mins for a 6 cell battery

1 hr for a 7 cell battery

the run time depends on how your driving but I'd estimate its probably about 15 mins average so you definitley want 3-4 batteries.

the xl-5 esc is alredy waterproof (no changes)

the titan 12t 550 is waterproof also , but they tend to fry quickly so get an reserve just in case and get a waterproof servo for it (one of the traxxas ones)_

No if the antenna was cut in half you cold find a new wire to solder it on to the receiver circut board. if its the whole antenna just solder it back to the receiver circut board.

I'd go with this one, the XL5 stampede, waterproof, lightweight, cheap.

I personally had the old emaxx which was fine, too batteries and two motors and massive wheels don't really gain you much though over the stampede (cept 4x4 but rear wheel drive is fun ^_^)

I've got a brushless converted 2.5 revo now which is a beast, but the cost is probably tripple a stampede. Still if your serious about it, I believe a brushless revo is simply the best thing ever! (Probably worth buying the one that traxxas sell, I think that MMM esc and the motor are very good, I only converted because it didn't exist)

it comes without batterys and reconneds a 7.2v to a 8.4 and 6-7 cell. hes just letting us know what he chose to use. :o) the onlying that would realy affect it would be a 7 cell with a 8.4v in it. the "mah" is only the amount of "juice" that it can store.

XL-5 Stock comes with a Titan 12T. VXL is brushless. Mashers comment not totally worthless, he did answer your question about the VXL set up.

Monster271, i Real recomend you reading the info box on the top right hand corner of his video. it sais it's STOCK xl-5 with 4400mah battery. it's not hard to read. and for the VXL/Brushless set up it depends on what you use you can get a brushless system that won't be like 50-60+mph but will be like 40-55mph but with some nice tourq. and it all depends on your gearing.

All I wanted to know was if the truck came stock with a brushless setup, and if the battery was the stock one that came with the truck out of the box. Besides, I don't think that I should listen to someone who can't even spell the word "says"

@leafblowinSK8 you can change the amount of teeth that go on the pinion gear/gear and it will have more torque or speed which ever one you want and out of the box it can go around 30mph+.

They're both awesome vehicles. It's down to whether you like big-tired monster trucks or smaller, lighter stadium trucks. Personally, I chose the Rustler.

first of all, both are great. but id say if u want to do more off roading go stampede. the rustler goes a bit faster, but since the pede is higher off the ground, it is better on rough terrain. both are awesome (there almost the same, mostly same parts) but go stampede. youlle be happy

its water resistant to a point. technicaly no. i still run it through damp grass sometimes and its fine, but definately not water proof. no streams or big puddles. and yes it does wheelie if u get a higher celled, higher mah battery.

depends on where and how you drive the stampede is better offroad does better wheelies has more ground clearance and is better for jumping. the ruster is slightly faster handles better is still pretty capible off road and is still pretty good at jumping. if u get one and u think u made the wrong choice its like $35 for the parts to convert to the other so yeah theyre both pretty good.

you don't need an e-maxx to go 14 cell, just an evx converted for one motor. I've done it, it's not worth it. Too much weight and charge time, you're better off with the setup he has, or a brushless system. (think efficiency... don't go overkill!) Awesome driving and great music! good job man. -TEAM NEMESIS

i have a traxxas bandit,and rustler. If you use over 7.2v on them the motor fries. I used a 8.4v 7 cell pack on both of them and both motors fried after 1 20 min run
