I confess I cried when I heard of his failure. Because I knew that would cause many to lose their faith but we must remember that only Jesus is our true "Pastor" and only he is perfect and without sin. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus. And I pray for Pastor Sheppard to be restored and given back the joy of salvation like King David when he committed adultery.

@rentintin2000 I know exactly what you mean BUT take this as a teaching moment from Jesus so that we learn to only put our faith on him and him alone. As much as we might like a preacher only Jesus died for our sins and is worthy to be followed.

Dr Sheppard resigned for "moral failure." It has been sermised that this failure meant he had an affair with another woman. He stated in a letter that he had admitted his failure to only his wife, 4 months prior to his resignation. I believe he got a woman in ALCF pregnant and she had his child. Many pastors have affairs and remain in denial until they get busted. I hope this helps.

I pray for Pastor Paul and his family. I pray for his restoration and healing in Jesus name. God used Paul Sheppard for His purposes...sorrow may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning! We serve a mighty God and His mercies are renewed everyday! Pastor Paul may not preach again anytime soon, but our focus is to be on the Lord Jesus not man. Pray for him because the devil is roaring about like a lion, seeking who he may destroy. Be vigilant and sober because you could be next.

I love seeing purveyors of mass delusions brought down to size when their own hypocrisy is exposed. It happens all the time. Jerry Falwell. Jim Bakker. Bob Larson. Ted Haggard. Paul Sheppard is just the most recent example, and he will not be the last.

Perhaps someday mankind can be rid of the disease of religion, and people like Paul Sheppard can help us along the way.

The disease is sin. False religion is a sinful disease we can do without, but Christianity, genuine Christianity, holds our only promise of hope.

The world needs Jesus and His promise of a righteous Eternal Life , and evil in the world is out to destroy this, without God's promises in the Bible we have no hope. This is our last hope

I had an earlier exposure to Pastor Sheppard through SkyAngel since about 2002. What I appreciated was a Black voice "cutting it straight". I had the pleasure of seeing him and my musical inspiration, Andrae Crouch together a few years back. He is in person what he is on video, pulpit, wherever. Humble, personable, direct, passionate for truth in word and deed.

I try to listen to Pastor Paul M-F if I can catch him. He is one of the best. He will make you laugh one moment and then make you think about your life and what you are doing with it the next. You gotta listen to him if you can.
