holy fucking shit, that's all i can say! this is the best commerical ever! i wish air canada still had the ending where the a340 banked left and flew away! that was beautiful! love it!
Got Luggage? Avoid AIR CANADA. Their customer service is located in INDIA. Lots of luck getting any assistance. We filled out their claim forms for a 70 pound heavy duty case and they still can't find it. How can you lose an elephant?..allow AIR CANADA to take charge....customers have no rights here !!!!
@naisi Compared to who ?? after 25 years in the airline industry ... especially in north america.. Air Canada ranks in the top..not to argue .. but AC is way better than most north american carriers... im still in a claims fight with continental going back 2 years... le sigh
@wandaslice Nobody cares for individual bad experiences. Just because you had a bad experience with Continental does not mean that they are the worst.
It's a statistical fact that Air Canada has an extra bad customer service and baggage policy. Period. No room for a discussion.
@wandaslice Well, the problem is: I don't have any bad experience with AC. I'm just stating a fact, whereas you are blurting from bad personal experience.
okay fine ... but Air Canada did win best airline in north america for 2010 just google it :)...( i think it is skytrax website).. I;m not saying there perfect because i would much prefer to fly Qatar airlines or singapore airlines but cant for simple domestic/trans boarder travel. you must have some kind of "individual bad experience" or the topic wouldn't of come up ??
@TheTurbinator, at AC all the employees look old and tired....Just puttin' in the time! I'll take the people on "happy pills" over the old hags any day!
@moleyarm, I agree with you on that. I worked at YYZ and the WestJet people are always happy and making jokes and funny announcements on the intercom. The Air Can people are older and grumpy because of the whole union thing. They act as if though they deserve everything, when in fact they deserve nothing. And this whole union thing makes it next to impossible for new people to get in and STAY in because of the whole seniority. They always fire the new people. I wish I was back with Air Tranasat.
@TheTurbinator , you're exactly right. The unions in the end, make it worse for everyone. Such a difference when you have a company where there's no union and everyone's part owner. There's some pride in ownership. Andd when WJ employees get tired of their job, they just leave for the next happy person to take their place.
Last Time I flew WJ, it was the worst flight in my life. The food was horrible, seats uncomfortable, and they lost my bags, and it took two weeks to get them back. :l
Yes and I help fly that plane, I was the co-pilot for it and ya there are getting the 777, STUPID!! A340-400,600, and 800 are the best to fly and so much easier on us pilots.
Mine is this coming April. Chicago-Vancouver- Hong Kong. US$830 I think Northwest charges US$100 more (+1 more stop). I hate Newark, and have been always a bit apprehensive flying over north pole with twin engine B-777. Air Can flies a four-engine A340! I think B-777 is a fine plane. It's a matter of probability, LOL :-P So I think it's a great deal.
theres one bad thing of A340. it doesnt have a power port! when you dont want to sleep and dont feel like reading, a computer is probably all you want on a dreadful 14- hour flight.
I was surprised, despite the strong C$, Air Can beats all US competitors and can fly me there for the lowest price. And the itinerary is great! No crazy 10-hour layover.
seattle to london in the middle of the summer in BA economy hell? $1200 USD.
vancouver, a better airport with cheaper parking to london in the middle of the summer on a Tango Plus fare in not-that-bad Air Canada coach?: $780 USD.
yeah it's lower. and the baggage allowance bigger, and th service far better. no contest, folks.
Air Canada may sometimes be more expensive but then remember ..it all depends on the season. Not to mention Westjet is not an international airline except the few flights into america...Air Canada maybe more expensive but it offers better offers better connecting times not to mention it flies to international cities...so in the end it works out to be cheaper if your flying further
