OMG Think! Watchmen was made into a comic book before The Incredibles.Besides The Incredibles is pretty much the Fantastic 4 the only thing stopping it from being the Fantastic 4 is Dash. Also Rorschach has a point,he is apart of the Watchmen hes the character that cares. And the relationship between Spect and The comedian is important to the story if that wouldn't of happened you wouldn't really have a Spect II.
Although I do respect your opinion...Watchmen is better than the incredibles, though I do love the incredibles. The story is deeper, and the characters are flawed. All the incredbiles did was take the fatastic four and rip off watchmen. Watchmen takes all the superhero mythos and turns it on their heads. Their flawed, psychopathic sociopaths, who would be just as crazed the criminlas they'd fight. As for the ending being better because its happier is missing the point. .
The incredibles took something and made it black and white while watchmen made it grey and real. Its ironic that you have a villian who wants world peace, and he gets away with, and that's the idea of turning the mythos on its heads. There's just soo much depth to watchmen, did you read the comic? but hey, to me, there's no reason why you can't enjoy both, like I did. One is darker and more real, while the other is campier and happier.
If you look at my youtube channel, you will know I am obsessed with the Incredibles. I can 100% agree with you that The Incredibles is better than Watchmen, well, at least that is what I believe.
Cool - I really think its a great movie on a lot of levels - captures the feeling of comics. Wall-E also does a good job of capturing science fiction films from back in the day.
Hmm, i kinda get your point. But if you watch spiderman, its the same as the incredibles...where like people start hating him. Where theres an enemy who tries to make the heroes look bad and all.
And the SAME SAME thing doesnt really happen in the watchmen.
Well rohrschach is the narrator, so he plays a quite important role.
The awesomest sequence in the watchmen was the very beginning where the guy gets the shit beaten out of LOL!
Yeah, Rorschach is the narrator but that doesn't mean we need to know his mom was a prostitute, has nothing to do with ANYTHING in the plot. Road Warrior and Conan both have narrators who are in the story but we never learn their back story because it has nothing to do with the plot at hand. When he says stuff about the others quitting, that's all we need to know, he's working alone. Imagine if Sin City had an extra 20 mins telling us about every cahracters life 20 years earlier...
Err, I think that you are wrong about somethings. At the end of Watchmen, (book) there is almost an entire chapter devoted to Ozy. Actually, the whole point of the book is to show how wrong our interpretations of Super Heroes could be. We see them as gods and saviors, but most of them are just people with problems, (i.e. Rorschach's mom is a hooker, Dan never got to know his father, and Laurie was forced into being a hero). The two movies/books are great but try to do differnt things
