Without doubt one of the best ever characters of any beat em up!! used properly he was practically invincible, so thanks a bunch Namco for removing him from the SC franchise and replacing him with poor imitations!! idiots....
I miss Hwang...I had very little experienced with him via Assassin, but he was great character to play and I love the hell out of that spin kick that he had. Yung-sung wasn't a bad character in SCII but after that he became to flashy for my taste.
They should bring back Hwang as a propper character, and give him a "Destined Battle" against Yunsung. (For the record I likeboth characters, but it's about time they fought in storyline).
@nocturnal247 This is a late addition to an old conversation, but the stages being at night depended on whether YOU play the game at night or not. Also, if you play Mitsurugi's stage in winter it snows.
Dont know man, I just had to post this video as a tribute. Since he was one, if not THE best character. Plus, part 3 version was decent, however he's voice sucked compared to SC1.

In SC1 for the Dreamcast, some characters had 2 stages, either a day or night stage, and I personally like the Hwang's night stage.

actually, Kilik has a day and a dawn stage. Astraoth, has a lave stage, and Lizardman is the same only instead of lava, its water.

thats a possibility, however, I wish the original Hwang from SC1, same voice actor will do his voice. I didnt fully accept him in SC3
