  • it's been pointed out that lollipop kid on the far right is the midget star of the 1932 film "freaks", you can tell from the eyes and cheeks.

  • Jerry Maren seems like a guy I would wanna hang out with

  • the Munchkins are still as cute as they used to be!

  • That movie is the most classic classic of ALL classics and always will be!!!!

  • Mr.Slover appeared briefly with Oliver Hardy in"Blockheads"a year before at The Hal Roach Studios in 1938.

  • And yet(Crying)I still miss Judy!

  • These people are inspirational to have overcome surviving the movie business and being little people ,some of which have serious health conditions ,Bravo Bravo .!!Just proving this film has given them the ability to live on through the magic of film!

  • ill always love the wizard oz i have four kids and they love to watch the movie over and over again.. it will always be our favroite.. rip.... love the OZ's

  • SO CUTE! What influential people they all are.

  • R.I.P Karl Solver Last Munchkin to die. :(

  • @DerpyDash1 theres still 3 left

  • i watched this movie with my son on tcm today and was curious to know if there were any survving members of the cast left as i thought there wouldnt be any especially seventy two years on

  • Lol im playing a munchkin in my school production the wiz. lol were all girls instead of little boys. we have to wear these huge luminous tutus and bright huge leg warmers and have are hair in high pigtails lol :P

  • @Zebonka wow ur bogus.

  • @Zebonka why would you even say that?!

  • HOW COULD ANYONE DISLIKE THIS VIDEO?

  • Hard to believe that of all 124 actual munchkins that played in this movie that there are only three remaining alive--Karl Slover just passed away. Even harder to believe any of them are still alive. They weren't young children when the movie was made. I wonder who is left of the original 1939 cast. None of the principle characters are alive today.

  • This video legitimately makes me cry.

  • "Meinhardt. Meinhardt!?! We lost him." Hahaha.

  • gay

  • Oh God, bless their hearts!!!

  • 04:30 ha ha Aww he went mimiz lol :))

  • I won't lie, from 2:20 to 2:29 I didn't understand a single word that young man was saying.

  • @MrCastlehair '' Jud mas... The Wizard of Oz...Judy Garland...Wizabladozz....and they were really nice people.

  • so when did they actually meet

  • The coroner died last year he was 94 then :'(

  • this made me so happy (:

  • Very touching...to see these special people...reunited after so many years. How wonderful that they are still sharing memories of such a special experience in their (then) young lives...how many lives have they touched with their performances??

  • this made me cry, especially the end when margret says "they're looking down on us" .. it is just so lovely and touching and really, those little wonderful people mark the end of an era.

  • 1:43 - 1:49 - Hillariously scary!!!

  • I lived next door to a woman who played a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz. She didn't like talking about it.

  • @MondoBeno why not..?

  • @RazzaLissaSaur

    1. This was in London. The Wizard of Oz is not well known in Britain, and the kids in that country were not familiar with it.

    2. A lot of the actors were angry because they were paid less than they should've been. Somehow the studio got away with paying them on a scale meant for children.

    3. There was a lot of prejudice against short people in those days, and they weren't treated with respect.

  • I wasn't aware that Meinhardt Raabe (the Coroner Munchkin) had passed away. I actually met him at the 2004 "Autumn At Oz" Festival in Beech Mtn, NC. He was wearing his blue munchkin costume from the movie and I got to have my picture taken with him.

  • At 4:30, OMG! bahahahahaha. Wake UP!

  • His ears:)

  • It's weird to think that the munchkins outlived Judy Garland.

  • Aww, this is so sweet!!

  • I grew up on this movie or a VHS recorded copy, my sonogram was on the same tape. Unfortionally the VCR ate it and I haven't replaced it yet.

  • Very Emotional watching the muchkins as they still live on their 90's

Beautiful people and brings back the good memories of OZ, we all grew up watching OZ and followin the dream to our children.

im not from US i live in Balkans Europe and still its touching to see them and see OZ we still watch it with our kids and Family. TIMELESSSSS

  • Classic family film...brilliantly directed.

  • timeless movie without question. it's absolutely phenomenal this movie gets the recognition today as it does. timeless is the only thing i can think of. and it's incredible to see what the munchkins are up to at least 2 years ago.

  • @1more4carhur Did you know at the time it was a flop at the box office? It didnt gain recognition until decades later. Yeah, hard to believe isnt it? Check it out.

    I agree though... Timeless movie!

  • @ericblr the two on the end? who were they the Lollipop kid and butterlinas?

  • dont you just like old people lol

  • y the hell are there 2 dislikes? dis vid is soo sweet!

  • My uncle lived next door to Clarence Swensen; one of the munchkin soldiers. I met him when I was in elementary school. I'm a senior in high school now. He was taller than me at the time. I would do anything to go back in time and talk to him once more now that I'm older and have so much more respect for the masterpiece that is The Wizard of Oz. But it's too late. Rest in Peace Clarence.

  • @WandaBrendleMoss Keep smiling because

God is with you. Please do research Dr. Bob Beck. He has a protocol that is helping and curing people. I will pray for you ok . A friend who cares.

  • old age , the terrible beast.

  • God bless them all: favorite movie of my life.

  • i didnt know midgets lived this long!!

  • @DefinitiveConor They're just like normal sized people except smaller.

  • @aang94479 But dwarfs are not exactly known to live long. just saying, not to sound mean, it's just what i hear

  • Comment removed

  • omg look at his gigantic ears

  • The coroner reminds me of my grandfather. He falls asleep at the most random times too! lol!

  • @123wickedsweet did u know they used his actual voice in the movie

  • I wonder if they will be in the sequel?

    Lol

  • I just stumbled across this. And i am soo happy that i did. What a blessing all those people were. the memories that they have given to so many people doing this movie for one! This is part of our childhood. I know that many girls wanted to be the good witch or even Dorothy. I wanted to be a Munchkin. I thought they were sooo beautiful. inside and out. I really think that they made this movie what it was.. honestly... God Bless the Little People!

  • adorable

  • This would be much better without the gasping for breaths in the background.

  • How amazing.... that would be pretty cool, seeing each other after 70 years, huh? Awww, the Lollipop Boys! <3

  • Fuck they creep me out

  • DOWN WITH THE WIZARD. LONG LIVE OZMA. *A*NIMALS HAVE RIGHTS TOO!!

    Her name was Olga Nardone

  • Awww, what a heartwarming video :)

  • Can I buy a munchkin?

  • This actually brought a tear to my eye. RIP coroner. Such great people. They deserve so much more recognition.

  • They are very lively to be 86-91, It's funny to hear them try to keep up with the songs!

  • I am related to one of the originals not by blood but marrige.

  • I met Margaret Pellegrini a few years ago. Such a sweet woman.

  • had the honor of interviewing them plus two others, Mickey Carroll and Clarence Swenson. What a thrill. They are all sweet and made great interviews. I am blessed to have those chats on tape. Sadly Ruth's comment at the end was probably true, it may be the last time they are all together.

  • awwwww! they're adorable!

  • Who were the 2 a-holes that voted this a thumbs down?

  • @ilasya99 Dorothy wasn't a munchkin... LOL...

  • @VanillaRose16 sorry and areany of thdem dead

  • @ilasya99 I'm not sure. This video was posted over a year ago, and I'm not sure when the film date was. But it's definitely possible. I'm surprised they've lived this long to be honest. If you're really curious, you should Google their names =) Although I'm not entirely sure why it matters if they're dead or not... D: Anywho, if you're that interested, look it up. Their names are in the video.

  • @ilasya99 Sadly, Meinhardt, passed away early this year.

  • It was so sad that they're only four now because Meinhardt Raabe died this, I think, March 2010. I don't want any other surviving cast members pass away! They're the only characters that are still surviving today.

  • I met the middle three at OZtober Fest in Wamego Kansas! The lollipop one (Jerry Maren) even performed during the Wizard of Oz play! He got on stage and sang the lollipop song with them. The most memorable OZtober Fest ever!

  • theyre so cutee i love old people. especially that guy who fell asleep lol

  • its hard to believe that in five or ten years there will be no more actors still living from the great film, The Wizard of Oz

  • omg they look like they're about to drop dead!!

  • I actually met the one who was the solider. He was making appearances at a store at Myrtle Beach probablyt back in 2003-2004. He was really sweet and kind.

  • They damn near had to prop Meinhardt up.

  • R.I.P. Meinhardt Raabe, the coroner. He died recently.

  • this film is so great it is loved by all generations, the songs are catchy, the music is happy, the dancing is fun and the story is interesting for all ages! I like watching the munchkins telling their stories, its sad that toto got paid more, they're people and he's a dog (i'm not dissing dogs, but seriously, what do dogs need money for?) its so cute watching them sing! at the start i thought the one on the left in blue was a lady!

  • its really sad are they all dead? is there anyone from the original cast still alive? RIP all of you, this film will be remembered and loved by all ages forever and always. Thank you

  • i didn't know that liza minelli was judy garland's, daughter, or that judy died from drug abuse, if not, she may have lived to the success of her career, especially this film, but because of the people that gave her the drugs for energy and 'to keep her looking thin' this will never be the case. the world has lost some great people. I only hope one day i will be as great as them, and be able to inspire others to do so

  • i <3 little old people XD

  • This is absolutely priceless. What a tremendous keepsake of film history! As I write this, I have just heard of the death of Meinhardt Raabe, the first gentleman seated above, who falls asleep at the end. Now he has eternal rest. Thank you so much.

  • Lol That is good. I HATE THE WITCH!!!!

  • Loving this interview! I love the Lollipop Guild & the Coroner so much! The videos are from YouTube, I think!!

I love this! Look at my channel, I have scenes from the film! Be sure check 'em out! Just click me!

  • 5:17 haha! This is so cool! It's awesome to hear what memories they have of the experience, and it's so nice of them to share it with us... even if they can't stay awake during an interview haha :)

  • this is adorable

  • WOW. Maybe they will do a 70th reunion of Harry Potter with Daniel, Rupert and Emma. They will be in the early 80's then.

  • How sweet and totally special! I must be one in a million people who grew up memorizing this movie. I'm glad they're still around and know how big a deal they are to others
