Chopin was also in his teens when he composed both of his concertos, anyways, I'm glad to hear what a piano concerto written by a woman would sound like. It's too bad that women composers seem to have all but disappeared into oblivion. Does anybody know of any other women composers? I'm curious because all I really ever hear are the male composers. I only ever see women pianists. I wonder if Martha Algerich wrote a piano concerto.
I AWARD THIS 3 CLARAS...I would say that it's a "Male" World, for such a fine piece as this to be lost, but then many fine "Male" pieces have been lost too.I liked everybody here.THEY'RE IS NO MISTAKING THAT THEY'RE NOT SUFFERING FROM MUSICOLGICAL PEDANTIC TASTE DELUSIONS,AS THEY AIM THIS PIECE RIGHT AT OUR HEART AND YES...SOULS.The pianist and conductor have fine temperments and I would have awarded more but in their meanderings they miss attractive turns of phrases & briefly become unfocused.
Yes, that's interesting. Chopin composed his two Concertos around 1929-30, Clara was still a teenager when she composed her Concerto in 1933-35, and some years later (1941-45), Robert composed his Concerto.
i love Clara's piano concerto ♥

I was told that the Clara piano concerto is currently a "standard" for studying piano concerti at conservatories and graduate music schools.

Gorgeous! It's a lot more Chopinesque than being Schumannesque! How's that?
