Beleive it or not, in most cattle cars during the holocaust, it was almost impossible to move because each one was packed to it's absolute capacity. This man is luckly he had enough room to get to the window.

Yes, a handful were tried at the First Nuremberg Trials, and at the subsequent Nuremberg Trials in Europe, at US led trials in the Pacifc, and some committed suicide. But too many who were responsible to some degree and managed to escape prosecution lived their lives (or in some cases- are still living their lives) without ever having to face trial for their crimes and responsibility. And I do hope that those who escaped prosecution will be properly punished after their death.
The only thing that their punishment would prove is that from hate can only come more hate. If God is a true God, then he would know that forgiveness is a far greater force than anger or vengeance.

At the end when the Germans were defeated, when their towns were in ruins they could not have suffered anywhere near as much as their victims had in the years before. For the Germans the end was in the heat of battle whereas they had been killing in cold blood for years. Their nation will be forever tainted.

I honestly dident realise about the gas chambers and how poorly these people were treated !I dident know about how little food they got for how much work they did and how many of these people were "crammed"in to one room!

WOW this is truly heartbreaking........ Beleive it or not, in most cattle cars during the holocaust, it was almost impossible to move because each one was packed to it's absolute capacity. This man is luckly he had enough room to get to the window.

Yes, a handful were tried at the First Nuremberg Trials, and at the subsequent Nuremberg Trials in Europe, at US led trials in the Pacifc, and some committed suicide. But too many who were responsible to some degree and managed to escape prosecution lived their lives (or in some cases- are still living their lives) without ever having to face trial for their crimes and responsibility. And I do hope that those who escaped prosecution will be properly punished after their death.

Not Eugenics; the Nazis' entire concept of race was based on Eugenics - one aspect being the ability to determine "race" by skull shape. Impossible to be used in the case of identifying Jews because they are of many races. The US did not "decide" to enter WWII, they had no choice after being attacked by Hitler's ally, Japan. What are the misdeeds? Occupying their land? Has it been so long that people forget how Israel got the land? They were attacked without cause during the holiest time of the year. They fought back and eventually won the six-day war and took over the land to create a protective buffer zone. Ever since then, they have been vilified for occupying the land. It is kind of like the bully crying and blaming the little kid that finally fought back and gave him what he deserved!

I agree, but I don't believe that Germany was an indifferent society. Germany was also Hitler's victim. As a result of WWI,they were in a disastrous state & @ 1st Hitler offered hope & some improvements. As he rose to power, however, he butchered all free thought, any potential opposition, all free press. To doubt or oppose meant death. By the time he had full power, he had a terrorized population. People, even good people, were afraid to NOT betray each other. Yes, it could happen anywhere.

Surely we could cite examples of human cruelty from 230 years ago given the imperialist policies of many western countries of the time. In fact, I would agree that we should look to these things, as Australia has recently done under the leadership of Rudd. But this isn't 230 years ago in this case; it started under 70 years ago for the Holocaust, and genocide globally is as current as it gets.

Fabricated? I think not! On April 11, 1945, members of the US 104th Infantry Division liberated the Mittelbau concentration camp at Nordhausen, Germany. One of the men was First Sergeant Terry Mitchell. He was there and he took pictures of what he saw. FWIW, both my uncle and I are about as Jewish as the Royal Family. uk1guy1, you need to get a freakin' clue!

Wow, Holocaust survivors are ture heroes, each one of thier stories deserve to be told to the extent of Anne Frank's story. Anyone that doubts the Holocaust has to be wrong in the mind. For example, why and how could an entire religous group agree on a story just for sympathy. That is the stupidest thing I have heard and is spitting in the face of all of these poor souls.

Don't pretend to have done any research on this subject or to have even visited the camps where these things took place. If you had, you'd know that it is history plain and simple. I've been to Auschwitz and Dachau. I stood in a room with a single photograph taken of that room with bodies piled two meters high. I wonder how poignant your denials would be if you'd bothered to actually investigate.
