Loaded to the hilt with NAV and all options - it's NOT under 40k as you note. That being said, we love our 2010 370z Loaded Roadser that is now 1.5 years old and only has 5k miles on it. Formerly owned an Audi TT Six Speed....
I have a 2010 370Z roadster and love it. It replaced a 2004 350Z that I also loved. I've had Mustangs but other than straight line, they're not as much fun. The 2011 Mustang GT convertible doesn't stick or stop like the 370Z (the numbers prove it hates corners). Besides, the Mustang is like a Corvette: You pass 20 a day. I haven't passed another 370Z Roadster in the year I've owned it.
Oh wait! Then all you Mustang Fans remember American "Muscle" cars are built like tanks so when you think you can keep up with a 370 your reminded your 3700LB curb weight is no comparison 3200LB of a 370. Case in point...1/4 mile timer from Motor Trend clocks a 370 at 13.2 vs 13.7 of the GT Convertible. Lighter imports will always have the edge of American Muscle until they trim the fat
I try to test drive that car, but since I'm 22 the salesman first wanted to check my credit and even though I have good credit to buy this I just cant make $700 month payments, so I'll have to wait and buy used. For the money its just a bargain.
I agree, great car but the Ford Mustang GT convertible offers comparable performance, over 300 HP, AND has a back seat if your traveling with young kids....
@colderbeer That and admit it. There's nothing that can match the howl that the Mustang GT makes when it's winding out. I think I would buy one over a 370Z any day for the mere fact that it has more trunk space and can seat one or two more people if need be.
@colderbeer ...and then all of a sudden there´s a twisty road(as there are many, here in the "civilised world", or even in California), where the Mustang would almost certainly eat 370Z dust. Plus the 370Z is a proper sportscar, in stead of a muscle car, and it's built by Japanese, so it will always work...
@wiebehoukes Built by the Japanese, so it will always work? Like how Toyotas always work? You're still living in the 1980's. This Nissan is a fine car, but even on a track with plenty of turns the Mustang GT will hang and bang with it.
@colderbeer Toyotas do always work.. At least, they're known for their reliability over here, and that's also why in most third world countries people drive Toyotas. And it's also the reason Toyota is the largest car manufacturer in the world now. And for the Mustang GT beating the 370Z, I'd like to refer to the Top Gear video in which a Mustang GT is beaten fair and square by a much less powerful, yet much lighter Lotus. A 370Z is lighter, and it doesn't use the rear axle from an ox cart..
@colderbeer Oh, but I do. Mustangs still have solid rear axles, in stead of independent rear suspension, unlike most modern (sports)cars. Don't get me wrong, I love Mustangs these days; they're true muscle cars, and it's ever so nice to see they're still here in this environment-obsessed world today. But they're still not exactly sophisticated cars(especially compared to Asian and European cars), they never were and they never will be (I hope), and that's exactly what makes them what they are...
@wiebehoukes Built by the Japanese so they will always work????? Guess you missed all those recalls by Toyota and Honda. The Japanese make shitty cars like everyone else their just more ruthless about covering up their mistakes.
@SuperQuantumMechanic True, that happened. But for the most part the Japanese build cars of high quality and reliability (that's also why they're used in some of the world's most hostile and remote locations, for example the Toyota Landcruis and HiLux). And that's also why Toyota's the biggest car company in the world. But of course, the best cars come from, have always come from and will always come from Germany.
@wiebehoukes German cars have a certain aura of awesomeness that jap cars cannot match.....jap cars are more like cheap hardy and racy....german cars are classy and fast something that u can be really proud to own (and rich)...american cars are just big and do not use their entire potential as also bad fuel economy
